Yes, but if you're passing to the left, you're more likely to pull the puck to your side and pass forehand. Bottom line, though, I don't think this issue makes any meaningful difference, one way or the other

Yet Huberdeau’s production on either the left or right side has been pathetic. Maybe we should re-think if it’s the coach or player who’s really the “moron.”

He’s talking about the centre passing to Huberdeau, which I had totally screwed up in my head.

How about neither. We know you hate Huberdeau, we know others hate Sutter. I doubt either is a moron. The evidence of both of their careers suggests not.

Strengths and weaknesses, pretty obvious Sutter has no idea how to utilize a players strengths but would rather call out and ridicule weaknesses when his "systems" don't take hold.

Yes, I know. If you have the puck out in front of you, it would be a backhand pass to the LW. But you can also drag the puck to your left side, and then make a forehand pass.
Again though, it's irrelevant.

I want both to succeed. Whether I like it or not we are married to Huberdeau for nearly a decade. It’s in everyone’s best interest to make it work. But at some point both parties need to end this pettiness and get on the same page. Darryl needs to be better and so does Huberdeau. It’s unfortunate that egos have gotten in the way. Both are paid a lot of money to be professionals and neither are showing it. Yes, I have a tendency to lean towards the coach if I had to pick one over the other, but at the end of the day for this organization to succeed both men need a reset. From what I’ve seen so far, one talking through the media and the other using his agent, this seems unlikely. Sad to say the least.

Dude, we can see your past posts about Huberdeau. You are overboard in your opinion of him.
And I’ve seen nothing from Huberdeau that’s less than professional. Unless you think he’s a liar his agent was on a frolic of his own.

I think it’s quite clear that he was a liar when he said he didn’t see his agents tweet until the morning (yet it was sent right after the game). So yeah that’s some bs.
Also, his next contract, starting next year will make him the highest paid player in franchise history, why wouldn’t he be held to a higher standard? Is 44 points acceptable when you’re making that kind of money? So how exactly is my opinion of him overboard when he’s going to command a salary that is the richest contract in Flames history. Ask ownership how they feel about that.
There’s been articles written in the hockey world about how he’s the most disappointing player of the 2022-23 season. At the end of the day you pay for production, and if this is the kind of point production he brings it could go down as one of the worst contracts of all time.
The numbers don’t lie. If you’re willing to spend 10.5 million on a 44 point player then it’s obvious you’re blinders for Huberdeau overshadow reality.

He could not possibly have seen the tweet before it was sent. There was no difference when he saw it after that so why would he lie.
You aren’t ever just complaining about his production. You continually call this guy a floater. He does that a lot less than the guy he replaces, who makes the same money Huberdeau will make next year. And you’ve implied he’s a moron. Like I said, over the top.

He’s never going to admit that he authorized his agent to send out that tweet. That’s a bad look on a player if they stoop to that level. Regardless, none of us will ever know the truth so I guess it’s a moot point.
Also, I don’t recall ever labelling him as a floater or using that term once to describe his play. I’m talking strictly about his numbers which are hard to defend considering who we thought we were getting as a player.

I think when people say we tried him with Lindholm and it didn't work are having a short memory.
Lindholm was struggling the first month or so and his game was out of sorts fumbling the puck. We probably know why but Sutter blew up the lines on a 5-2 team and we haven't recovered since.

Of course not, because he didn't, aside from very indirectly the day he hired Walsh as his agent.
It's an absurd thing to be critical of Huby for, especially considering Walsh's tweet wasn't even that inflammatory, and it's hard to argue that it wasn't true.

I believe him when he say he didn't know about the tweet. Go look at Alan Walsh time line he has no filter and speaks his mind freely. He's an idiot.
Why would go through 65% of the season doing everything the coach has asked and suddenly ask his agent to send a tweet.
If anything he would have talked to Brad. I think we can all agree that Brad Treliving just a fantastic job cresting relationships with his players and communicating with them from what's been said about him.

Huberdeau and Lindholm also played together on PP1 for most of the season and still didn't seem very good together.

The same powerplay that played well to start the season and took a nose dive when guys got split up?
Our PP1 last season was our top line so they already had the built on chemistry.
This year it's like each unit is made up of bits of the team and they just can't get that chemistry.
Probably why Toffoli and Lindholm do well and Huberdeau looks lost at times because he has zero chemistry with Kadri. Doesn't help the powerplay almost runs through Kadri getting zone entries and setting up.

This has been commented on. The power play turned into a Rasmus-Kadri-Toffoli triangle.

There must be folks with a LOT more time on their hands than me....wow. Just....wow.
So much indiscriminate horse puckey. Darryl would like that.
{insert: No he wouldn't!}
Blech. CP is becoming its own cesspool.
