Things like the Tucker tripe above always make me wonder if they think about just how much fire they're playing with. Those GOP senators and reps cowering in their offices while the very people they riled up rampaged through the capitol...
Seems like that same bunch of psychos down there whose attention Fox seeks might one day storm the Fox offices. They seemed mighty close when Fox called it for Biden. You can't control that mob, just fuel their anger.
I mean, the latest leaked texts have shown that Tucker himself despises Trump and doesn't believe a thing he tells his audience. Dude is a just vile, disgusting human being, period.
Sadder yet is that -- despite that revelation -- his audience is so full of gullible morons that they still believ-- oh, Matata, sorry, didn't see you there.

This revelation about Tucker's character is hardly newsworthy. You can tell he was built this way going back to his Crossfire days. You knew he didn't believe a word of what he was saying because it was obviously so preposterous, but the show was built on creating a conflict, hence the name "Crossfire".
If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at CNN for employing him to be "that guy" in the first place. Their desire for ratings way back in the day makes them complicit in all this.

Even if Crossfire had never existed we would just have some different blowhard in his Fox News timeslot. Whether is Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, Carlson, Jones or anyone else, there is no shortage of people willing to say whatever they can to get rich.

Silicon Valley Bank collapsed Friday morning after a stunning 48 hours in which its capital crisis set off fears of a meltdown across the banking industry.
While relatively unknown outside of Silicon Valley, SVB was among the top 20 American commercial banks, with $209 billion in total assets at the end of last year, according to the FDIC.
But SVB catered primarily to to higher-risk tech startups that have recently been hurt by higher interest rates and dwindling venture capital.

It will be interesting to see who all has exposure to this. I just saw this article about Roku, and it's going to hurt.
It's an interesting side effect of raising rates so quickly. Banks hold a ton of bonds/T-bills with low coupon rates, and as yields have risen with interest rates the value of those bonds has dropped.
It's not necessarily a problem if they can hold them to maturity (since they get the entire value back then) or if they sell them invest in something with a much better return. But when they need to sell them early to ensure liquidity or fund withdrawals, all of the sudden they're realizing some pretty big losses.
And it's definitely a potential larger issue. US banks' unrealized losses on the books for securities were $8B at the end of 2021 and grew to $620B by the end of 2022.
Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., has announced that she will be a grandmother at 36 next month when her 17-year-old son’s partner gives birth to a son.
Boebert revealed this family news at a women’s breakfast during the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland that ended last weekend, where she received a “mothers of influence” award. Boebert addressed women and men at the breakfast after accepting the award.
“I’m going to tell you all for the first time in a public setting that, not only am I a mother of four boys, but, come April, I will be a Gigi to a brand new grandson,” she said.
Boebert’s son, when she talked with him about becoming a grandmother, pointed out that Boebert made her own mother a grandmother at 36 and he suggested it was “hereditary,” Boebert told those at the breakfast.
Saw a story about a 3-year old girl shooting and killing her 4-year old sister in Houston, then ended up finding out that gun violence is now the leading cause of death for all children and adolescents in the US
Republicans: "We want to protect the children!"
Everyone else: "So, better gun control laws?"
Republicans: "What? No, from drag queens reading books to them, idiots."

Does this mean Lindsey Graham can't read to children anymore?
Hey look, more video evidence showing that Jan 6 was a staged event was just released. I know lots of you have a justifiable grudge against Tucker, but don't hold your breathe hoping for a left-leaning source to be objective after they spent years hammering the public with the notion that this one of the greatest tragedies in American history.
TLDW: The Qanon shaman was peacefully led around the capital building by police, even leading him to the room where his infamous photo was taken, this footage was hidden away during his trial and significantly impacted his punishment of 4 years in jail. He's also unjustly spent 320 days in solitary confinement for this.
Did you not question why they didn’t show him peacefully enter or peacefully leave?
They showed just a couple minutes of his hour plus stay in the building. It doesn’t show him breaking in with the crowd or refusing to leave. The actual crimes.
I would agree four years for what was shown in the video would be a travesty. But this was pretty much showing the four minutes he wasn’t breaking the law and you’re falling for it.
