So you didn't watch the game today? Got it.

Vasilevsky stopped 3 breakaways in the 3rd period alone. I'm sure the bolts had more scoring chances but it won't break down to something extreme. I'd be shocked if it did.

It was a very even game on the ice. Goaltending made the difference but the Jets weren't exactly outplayed.

Oh god

Shots were 35-22

Vasi had an .864
Helle a .964 and first star

One goal game

There is nothing wrong with a goalie stealing one like Markstrom did against the Wild but that's what happened here

At this stage of season who cares they got 4 points and that’s all that matters. Flames loss to the ducks stings even more.

Expected goals 5 on 5 once adjustments are made was practically even. Tampa had a bunch of chances on the PP so if you want to base it on that then yeah I guess.

Since all 60 minutes of a game count, the total expected goals seems pretty relevant, not just 5v5, and that was 3.4 to 2.61 for Tampa.

You can't just aggregate 5 on 5 time with special teams time... should be self explanatory.

Yeah that’s what happened when you rely on other team to make the playoffs

When you're arguing that it was an even game, you look at the whole game and not just cherry-pick 5v5 stats, should be self explanatory.

It was an even game when both teams had the same number of players on the ice. TB had significantly more PP time, predictably leading to more chances for them. Again you can't just aggregate everything together.

So you agree that when you look at the full 60 minutes that Tampa had a better chance to win the game. Thanks.

Context

I never said it mattered I was responding to

"Ballsy effort this weekend"

Yeah by their goalie...with poor goaltending the other way...4 points is 4 points I agree but they played the same #### hockey they have been lately but got some breaks.

IMO so nobody gets butthurt

You are working way to hard to defend the Jets of all teams

Let it go

Go back and read my post again. I said the Jets "weren't outplayed". Which is true when you look at situations where the teams had the same number of players on the ice.

One team had much more PP time and it resulted in them having more chances... no #### sherlock

Just a funny little problem I have, it gets on my nerves when people say incredibly stupid things. Can't help it I guess.

People will keep alive the narrative of "oh look, the Jets are vulnerable, Flames can still make the playoffs because hey, they beat a bad Sens team on a road back to back"

Jets found a way to go into Tampa without their top Dman and beat the Lightning. Jets are not going to be caught.

Nobody gave a #### when the wild beat the Jets last week getting outshot 2 to 1.

I don't give a #### we lost the shot clock today. How's that for simple?
