Hey I wouldn't object to Reinbacher. But I suspect he's going to rise out of the Flames' range. Could see him going as high as 6-7.

Does that make sense?

For years we had Iginla & Kiprusoff. They took turns being that guy. That guy that could just take over a game and make a difference by themselves, and did so frequently.

Then we had Monny, for a few years he was that guy. So was Jonny. Then Tkachuk

Now we have…?

We don’t have a guy anymore. It’s just a wasteland of the sea of sameness. Interchangeable NPC’s who just don’t make a difference.

Boring. Uninspiring. Bleak. Melancholy
In theory that guy should be Huby but between not playing him on his strong wing, having a system that doesn't work for his game & playing him with literal plugs doesn't do him any favors

This team is turning shots on goal into the new plus/minus. A totally meaningless stat that has no bearing on outcome. It’s a real skill to be able to put this volume of shots that have zero chance of impacting the game on net. It’s laughable really.

Are low danger chances something that is tracked? The Flames are running away with that category.

First and last game of the season I’ll be taking in live. The team has either quit on Sutter or there’s something rotten in the dressing room, or both.

I even said that when they scored to take the lead. Where’s the jump? Emotion? Playing like the season is on the line? They were going through the motions and looked like they believe their summer is a month away.

Watching this team try to score goals deteriorates your mental health.

There should be a warning before each game.

That's what I think, and no amount of coaching change is going to fix that. That's all team assembly at fault.

When your highest paid player is playing so below his career norms, I don’t know how you come back with the same coach next year.

Toffoli is the closest to being that guy, get's a lot of shots but not enough go in.

If Toffoli is that guy for this team, that's an error in roster composition.

Yup he is the guy this year and he should be the 5th guy upfront after Huberdeau, Lindholm, Kadri, Mangiapane but that is why we are not in a playoff spot

Darryl Sutter is a bad coach. This roster is not a good roster, and none of the players seem to want to be here. It feels like they’re executing the system to a “T” almost to spite the head coach.
Sutter isn’t a bad coach. This current roster just simply isn’t a team that fits his brand of hockey which has lead to frustrating results. It’s just a bad mixture at this point and it’s obvious he’s lost the room

Sutter is not wrong in calling out the team's top players. The guys you listed + Markstrom are why the team are on the outside looking in at this point.

This season has sucked, like seriously the worst I can remember. Maybe Iginlas last years were worse but at least you knew rebuild was coming. This is dire but all we can do is hope an offseason can right the ship. I just have no clue where the ship is heading.

I still blame Gaudreau for tying this teams hands last offseason. This whole season is a direct reaction to that. At the very least he is in purgatory too.

I blame it on them bringing back the pedestals. It feels like watching that era.

This makes him a bad coach. We see it game after game he sticks to his system no matter what. A system that simply doesn't work with this group, and worse he insists on playing certain players that shouldn't even be on the ice.
