I posted an ad on kijiji. Specifically said i would not respond to low ball offers. First response I get is an offer for half of the asking price.

People value their stuff on Kijiji too much.
I sold a perfectly good dining set I bought a while ago. Probably like $1700 new.
I posted it for $850.
Ended up selling it for $300.
I always make lowball offers.

I don't think anyone shops of Kijiji looking for anything but a deal.

Respond with "I'll take it" but then ghost them.

You should say that you will respond to lowball offers with spite, vitriol, and a bit of guilt-shaming for good measure.

Does vitriol include swearing? I am a big fan swearing. I need an official ruling on this.

Or respond with "I'll take it" and then send a series of messages assuming they've agreed to sell you a similar car for the same price, and asking when they can drop it off, will they finance it, does it have a recent carfax, can they include winter tires, are the floor mats OEM, what's the maintenance history, has it been smoked in, do they have a roof rack, etc.

Why do I feel like I've read something like this before? I even seem to recall someone saying (probably jokingly) that if that fails, they'd respond with dick pics.

Colonoscopies grind my gears. I had my first one this week and it was a terrible experience. First of all I have a high metabolism and have never fasted before so not eating anything for 1.5 days was going to be a big challenge. Well that turned out to be the easy part. Despite drinking gatorade all day as prescribed, my electrolytes crashed hard and the last 2L of Colyte was hell as I had a throbbing headache and dizziness and even after taking gravol I couldn't keep the stuff down. It was like reliving a killer hangover from my drinking days. The actual colonoscopy procedure was a breeze though and I actually got an 8/10 for my prep despite the fact that I vomited up the last 2L of Colyte so I didn't come close to properly prepping as per the guide. I feel for the people that have conditions that warrant doing that frequently.

I'm on the waitlist for one, not looking forward to it and that's before you brought up the 1.5 day fast. I hate even having to do the annual fasting glucose test and that really just means having breakfast late for the 8 hour fast.

If I was to do it over again I would schedule a morning appointment. I had a late afternoon appointment so an extra half day tacked on to fasting and drawing things out. I actually found the fasting part not so bad but things went downhill once I started the first 2L of Colyte as dehydration (your anus turns into a faucet) mixed with my body being out of sorts due to the lack of food made for an extreme hangover-like experience. It varies from person to person though as some people handle it fine. For me it was just too jarring for my body.

Worse is the people that respond to your add and agree to the price, then show up and try to lowball you in person. At that point I tell them I won't sell it to them out of spite.

Usually if they show up they have the money as they are too cheap to waste a trip. I've held firm and they always end up paying. For me the worst is the amount of people that strike a deal and claim a time to pick them up only to not show up and never hear from them again. That's happened so much that I no longer plan around them and if I know I'm going to be home I tell them to pick up and I won't change plans to accommodate them.

Ulcerative colitis here. Yeah, colonoscopies, they're a f-cking joy, that. Although between the Colyte for colonoscopy prep or the enema you're supposed to use to prep for a sigmoidoscopy, I'll take the Colyte. At least you're drinking it.
I wouldn't say I have to do it 'frequently', although I suppose relative to a person who doesn't have a GI condition, it would be more than typical.

I'm selling an item on Kijiji, brand new in box. Never used, with receipt, brand new worth $160. I list it as firm at $80, half price is pretty damn fair. Still got 2 scumbags asking to buy it for less. No shame.
