Poirier is everything this team needs on the blueline right now. Highly skilled that can generate offense on the PP. I still think next year is going to be dramatically better for the Flames because more youth will be in the lineup as a number of the Wranglers work their way into the lineup, with Poirier being one of them.

You folks who live in Calgary are spoiled.
Poirier has an absolutely phenomenal combination of skill, hockey instincts, decent frame, and as I mentioned before having never seen him play in person until this weekend, I absolutely love his compete level.
Offensively he is so talented he would jump to the first PP unit, but at least against the Eagles in the last 2 games, he’s the most noticeable talent from both teams!
Best potential I’ve seen from a Calgary Flames defenseman prospect in a long time…🥰

Wranglers sign defenceman Andrew Peski to a professional tryout contract. He's been playing in the ECHL with the Maine Mariners, and also a handful in the AHL for Springfield.

Wranglers bring in Union College goaltender Connor Murphy on a pro try-out. This follows the ECHL guy they had last week, which suggests Daniil Chechelev isn't in their long range plans.
Murphy attended the Red Wings development camp last summer.

The Hitmen used to sell the second bowl fairly in the playoffs well when the flames would miss the playoffs. I imagine the Wranglers would be able to as well.
