I have defended Sutter, but his line deployment, not taking advantage of last change, keeps playing 4th line against the other team's top units, is a big WTF! What is he trying to prove? That he is the boss?

Plus, Kadri has never been seen as elite. He has always been viewed as a decent second liner who averages about 50 points, with tunnel vision. Which is why he was never a first liner, except for one abnormal great season he had last year with Colorado.
He is on par with a majority of seasons during his career. Not one to carry a team but a supplemental secondary piece.

Every person on this board alcan see Huberdeau and Kadri is not working, and Huberdeau and Pelletier were looking better. So Sutter breaks up Huberdeau and Pelletier. It boggles the mind that Sutter thinks he is making good decisions.
Trevor Lewis played more than Tofolli, the same as Dube and within a minute if Huberdeau and Kadri.
Must win game and Sutter won't lean on the guys who are supposed to be his best players.
|
The guys that are supposed to be his best players aren’t doing anything, either.

Pelletier does make sense.
The Backlund line is the best line due to Backs and Coleman. Mangi hasn't be a productive player this season. So injection Pellts energy to that line could provide a bit more spark.
I think Kadri is an anchor to Huby, but when Pelletier looks better than Huberdeau does, that's a big problem.
Huberdeau has been terrible this year, and that's all on him. He needs to take personal responsibility in why he looks worse than a rookie and 3rd line centreman, when he's suppose to be the best player on the team.

The best part was trading out Jokkinen for Kotalik, and then bringing Jokkinen back the next season.
Olli's take: "Yeah that was surprising."
Darryl's take: "I thought we missed him."
Completely daft.

I think they should keep doing exactly what they're doing at this point. Sutter can play Lucic all he wants. They are now in striking range of a Bedard lottery shot. The only thing that interests me for the remainder of the season is maybe a Coronato ELC, a Wolf call-up and the draft pick.

It is kinda sad we dumped 7 million a year for 7 years on a 32 year old guy who is a 50 point guy.

It's time to start trying some new things. I wonder if Andersson should be shut down early. He hasn't been the same since that accident.
This is going to be a tough homestretch.
|
Bang on.
I guarantee Andersson is dealing with injuries from that accident still.

If that’s the case, get ready for a roster of WHL alumni who are big western Canadian boys. Not to mention the draft of similar ilk. Sprinkled with one Huselius type player.

You think Hubby just forgot how to play hockey or just maybe not being utilized right or playing with right team mates.
Side note We’re suppose to have had the best defence in league this year. There’s not one of them I wouldn’t trade if price right. No puck carriers or anyone that can quarterback the power play.

Gemini game. One side they looked awful against a team they were chasing and gave the impression they won’t fight back. The other side: we are getting deeper into lottery territory.
That game the flames had so little fight. Again lindholm looks lost. Hanifin is a mental midget. Even Tanev can’t round him out. For such a big guy he’s like a marshmallow. I really thought last year he was rounding into a more physical dman and then the Dallas series watching heiskanen carve our man defence up he learned something. Nope. Man he’s a guy I look to move. I’d roll with kuznetsov.
I really thought we swindled Carolina first couple of years but both those guys were products of 19 and 13. If you sell low on them I think is a mistake. Hope they rebound next year points wise and sell at the deadline. Endure another tough year restock the cupobords again and then make a push 2025 when we have our pick go to Montreal. Man that monohan trade looks even worse now. Resign Sam Bennet? Jks but that guy is laughing at this moribund group.
Need a major overhaul. I think a group of magiapane dube pelts Huberdeau kadri Coleman backs Zary and coronato could surprise. We need a pp QB who’s not a afraid to shoot. Anyone have a big clapper that wants t try out for the wranglers? Fml

Imagine what they are hoping to pay the #1 center on this team (and his handful of extra points) after next year

That’s how I see it, as Kadri and Huberdeau were useless, and to a lesser extent, Mangi. So, he rewarded Pelts with a shift to play with the two guys who give 100 Percent, Coleman and Backs

He lost the room after the first loss to Edmonton when he mucked up the lines for a month. The Jolly Rancher needs to be put out to pasture.

Continuing to staple Huberdeau to Kadri is such a headscratcher. Zero chemistry.
If you’re trying to make some kind of point here Darryl, the white flag was up long ago, please stop.
