Oilers with the lead thanks to a McPP goal? Shocking!

RNH now. Markstrom would have been excoriated for that goal short side.

The Hurricanes are in control, 2-0 after twenty minutes. Aho scored on a breakaway.

I'd rather lose with the Jets than win with the oilers, a team that employees human garbage like MacTavish and Kane.

In all honesty
Let’s call a spade a spade
It’s not just a game, it’s a business. The second or third largest tv viewership draw in Canada (and therefore probably top 5 in the league) has a superstar. They need to make sure he goes deep in the playoffs to protect their revenue. If he doesn’t and asks “out” they risk him going to a market that either doesn’t care as much (anywhere south of the border) or somewhere thats already so big that it can’t grow enough to offset the loss in Edmonton viewership (Toronto).
Too bad it’s so blatant. Ha ha

Jets are just hapless right now

The Oilers need to keep at it. Get us into the playoffs then we'll boot them

This is a good result for the Flames who can be within 3 points tomorrow with a head to head upcoming

Oilers play them twice. Hopefully two regulation wins to get us back within striking distance

It doesn't matter how much those losers win right now, the hype will be stupid regardless. And we all know how it ends. Let them build up their annual delusion.

Sure, mathematically it's not over yet. But c'mon guys, the Flames are done. Stick a fork in 'em. Usually I'd be more optimistic, but this team just doesn't have what it takes this year and I can't see them making it.

I don't know. I see a crack of daylight. There are some bad teams that aren't getting any traction either

It's never completely over when there are head to heads to play.

Win both games against Minny and we're also 5 points back of them with same amount of games played. Honestly it's still a coin toss at this point. I still believe.

So the Jets are a lock? I don't know
