Tre just came to the stage. Thanks Zohorna, Brett, and Connor. Gives them an opportunity to play. With the progression of Walker Duehr, gives him an opportunity on the right side.

Troy Stetcher brought in since we lack some offense on the defensive right side with Kylington being gone.

Dryden will report to the Wranglers to start - competitive guy, gives some versatility on both wings.

Boy, we're really on our way now, lol. Seriously though, nothing was going to save this season anyway. I think there are some very dark days ahead for this team - they are so far away from being a contender. We need a couple of elite level players like Avs, Bruins, Loafs and Coilers have and that's gonna take a lot of drafting luck.

Good. People are complaining about being “directionless”. They set a direction last summer, abandoning it now would be directionless.

What's telling to me is he goes straight to why they weren't buyers; being sellers isn't even crossing his mind.
It was either buy or stand pat. Of those 2 options, obviously stand pat is the right choice.

Talk of rebuild, accumulate draft picks, or being sellers isn't even worth discussing anymore. Not as long as ownership is the same

Suggestion. It might be time to lay down the shovels.

Duehr and Pelletier are expected to be with the main team. Tre: "we're not supposed to say paper-transaction".

If there is anything you can fault Treliving on it's that he might be too strict on keeping guys if he doesn't like the price.

Which is a tough thing to fault him for - and it's very similar to Burke who hired him not wanting to move Cammalieri for nothing.

But I think that is where we end up today. He's said countless times in this press conference that they were looking at moves that could add younger pieces or draft picks and "nothing made sense".

To me that means the price wasn't met, so we didn't move.

And I don't fault him for that...but I also don't know what his asking price was. Maybe there was a good offer there but he just overvalued his own players.

Tough to say...

The team has 7 team members from the 19-20 season signed past this year (Lindholm, Backlund, Mangiapane, Hanifin, Andersson, Dube, Kylington)

Lack of change is not something people can complain about with this team.

He referenced all the changes he made last off season. Time to work with what we have.

Another epic failure as far as asset management goes. Maybe he was told he's a lame duck and that any significant sales would be deferred until after the season to be handled by the new management team.

It's never to early to realize you've made a mistake and should ignore the sunk costs of Huberdeau and Kadri.

Tre said the majority time he spent on talks with managers was making trades for assets.
