No, we had two 2025 1st round picks because we lost Tkachuk. We're short that 2025 1st round pick. They spent it to build this team.
I'm aware. Just saying your list implies we don't have a 1st in 2025 anymore, but we do. We picked up a second one and then traded it again, so it doesn't really belong in that list.

I wonder if its a matter of Treliving deciding if he wants to be POHO or GM.
If he wants to be POHO perhaps Conroy, Lombardi or Futa become GM
I don't think that Sutter is going anywhere

No he was out front of it a lot. He had a busy couple of weeks with the Toffoli acquisition.
That's what I thought.
Coming up on the deadline and getting radio silence from a GM on an expiring contract is a bit eyebrow raising. Even if not making any deals, I would have expected something about the team's direction from him, unless that direction may not be up to him.

Because ownership will be eager to let Treliving choose after this debacle? Doubt it. Wouldn't be surprised if they're already interviewing his replacement and planning a clean house of management. Hoping Pleau is gone when the dust clears.
With some of the trades happening today, can the Flames honestly not sell anyone? I'd like to see some totally replaceable players traded off the Flames too.
The owners care about winning. You may not like how they are going about trying to do it, but they care.
Yeah I get disappointment in inactivity.
But the baby with the bathwater stuff is so cringeworthy.
With how this season has gone my number one wish at the deadline was to not move futures for a maybe. Even when they were closer to the playoffs (bubble in) I didn't want the 1st moved for a rental in a deep draft.
The Flames will need those picks to succeed and push.
Now they're clearly out (to most) and they've even avoided that 5th for a depth defenseman trade so far.
Hope that continues.
I get the don't move the 6 big UFAs in a year if you want to win next season. But you get the cap space and another 1st round pick and that is value. So hope they are listening but won't lose it if they don't move one of the six.

At the very least, trade Lewis, Ritchie, Lucic, Stone ... even if it's for a couple of 7th round picks
At the bare freaking minimum. It would give me the smallest sliver of hope that maybe they're not one the worst run team in the league...but, we'll see.

Does that not hit a little bit of a "my expectations are really low" vibe? I really liked Loubo earlier last month saying that this team doesn't need to be mocked or ridiculed, it very simply needs to be held to a higher standard (internally).

Can't wait to hold onto these guys next year as well for a "playoff run". Only to lose in the first round in 5/6 games as usual, and then watch them walk for nothing.
Lewis or Ritchie I could see fetching something small… maybe. I don’t know why anyone is spending any assets on Lucic (contract) or Stone (7/8 defenceman).
I think the only way Lucic gets moved is to a team for nostalgia purposes. I’m pretty sure most GMs see what we see.
What teams want tweeners off of bubble teams, honestly?

I still don't think it's wise to move any of them now. The Preds got a 2nd for Niederreiter and Granlund each ... that's fine, but not eye-watering either. I think you can get more in the summer, especially if you choose to retain salary and/or let them talk to other teams regarding an extension.
