They should have just stuck with the pattern of using the flaming C with integrated patterns. Blasty was already a messy design, and they took that mess to 11 with the added feathers, stripes and circle.

Too bad. They could have done something amazing with it.

The difference in reaction between this and the Black History Month jersey that looked even lazier is super funny.

If it wasn't Iginla themed it probably wouldn't have been received as well. I admit I'm guilty of that. I love anything Iggy!

And ? It looks terrible . They threw some feathers on blasty

I said it looked like a single person designed it overnight . Whether that person is indigenous or not makes no difference to my opinion that it’s a lazy , horrible looking jersey

(The shoulder patches are alright , but those are an accessory to the actual jersey emblem)

No you suggested the Flames designed it themselves...that's what is sounded like to me anyway.

I will go with the indigenous artist over your opinion for this one

My post is literally quoted above. Where does it say the Flames designed it ?

“Looks like SOMEONE designed in a night by themselves “

I know you tend to not actually read posts but assume what the person is saying - but this one takes the cake ! Someone must mean someone on the Flames!

Stick to your one liners in the game threads

Why would my opinion or the artists opinion make any difference to your own opinion of it ? I hope the artist didn’t hate their own work or that would be really weird !

Do you like it ?

I agree. I think that it would be pretty sweet without the snot.

This definitely seems like something to get upset about and an argument worth trying to win.

I could've quoted a few other posts about people saying the design was lazy etc. They commissioned an indigenous artist to design it. I highly doubt said artist threw it together lazily at the last minute. You may not like it - as is the case with virtually all art since it is subjective - I don't think it makes sense to say it was lazy though.

Solid stereotype with the feathers. 10/10 logo.

I wouldn't say that it is stereotypical. I see it as traditional.

One looks way better than the other.

Blasty isn't a great base to work from. The flaming C can be mixed up pretty easily while staying visually clean because it's simple, but blasty with a bunch of details added is like that car Homer designed.

Hopefully they return to this again next season with a nice clean flaming C version.

Certainly there's lots of potential design-wise for a indigenous motif, but I wonder how much deviation from the established logos is allowed. Could also be a league thing.

If you say so. They both look to be about the same with the same level of deviation from the standard logo to me. Seems right on par for a practice jersey they’re going to wear once.

I like! A few adjustments and this should be the full time Blasty Logo!

Shoulder patch is nice but the logo is horrendous.
