Man, I was surprised to not see more of the following, but I absolutely LOATHE

CELL PHONES. I swear, the minute 90% of people answer a call, their IQ drops 100 points and manners go out the window.

You know, those people who feel they have to practically shout when on the phone? News flash, you are on a phone, you can speak normally and they can hear you. You don't have to shout as if there was no phone at all and you have to have your voice carry 10 miles.

Bonus annoyance points to those people who talk on the phone while going through a line at a store. I work retail and deal with this almost daily. They do not get a single word from me until they get off the phone, unless I have to tell them to hit the green button on the debit machine. Even better are those people that get rude and huffy because I interrupted their conversation. Excuse me, but there are 5 other people behind you that would like to get on with their day. I've often wanted to invent a signal stopper that I could place right in front of me to kill all cell phone service when I am at work.

And the worst are those who talk on the phone and drive. I've seriously seen drunk drivers that drive better than most cell phone users. If it's that important, pull over into a parking lot and talk, otherwise just tell them, I'm trying to drive right now, i'll call you in 4 minutes when I get to where I am going. I wish here in Oregon we had a state law like I think New York does where tal;king on the phone while driving is a ticketable offense.

I wouldn't hold your breath. We have a law like that in Iowa, and it's not enforced at all. In fact, last week my wife and I passed a cop who was talking on his phone while driving in a marked police car.

That's how you know a law doesn't have the backing of the people--when even cops flout it, and no-one bothers to enforce it.

Heely shoes ... those wretched devices make me want to bodycheck children.

Telus' stupid "Tell me what you want to do" automated voice system.

People who walk three or more shoulder-to-shoulder in a mall or any other place with an aisle-way.

The TV show Yes, Dear.

Smoking

Yappy dogs

Traffic

People who call in on their cell phone, hear the recording that if you're having a technical issue with your phone, you'll need to call us from a different phone, and ignore that message. You can't send a text message? Well how the hell do you expect to test that feature while you're on the phone? Idiot.

I have a good friend who works for Telus as a Systems Analyst who designs those automated voice systems. Everytime I pay him a visit I give him the gears on that

More from me:

-Sports channels and supposed education stations who think gambling addiction is a sport. I have some great ideas for reality shows on Discovery or TLC: Bong-making, Most Extreme Drinking Game Challenge, or Pimp My Crack Whore (that's not very nice, shame on me ).

-Text messaging and online chatting (except when necessary)

-People who still think that using nuclear weapons by anyone is OK.

Here's mine

- Arrogance of smokers in this day and age
- Smokers who flick butts out or dump them on the ground
- Pickup truck drivers who drive like complete jerks (this applies to 95% of all truck I have seen on the road, so if this applies to you, suck it up)
- People who can't follow basic driving rules
- Any chain-store on a weekend
- People who don't take the time to figure out their new cell phone, computer, tv, etc and often call on me 'to get it going' - read the friggin manual!
-Internet and text language that 'the kids of today' use - I swear, the english language is going to hell in a handbasket
- Incorrect spelling or word usage, typically on internet forums - see above - yes, I am a grammar nazi, so what? Is it really that hard to learn something?
- Celebrity gossip shows and magazines
- The combination of two celebrity names into one IE Bradgelina - I want to meet the person who first thought of this and swing an axe into their face.
- Common courtesy in general. It astounds me how rude people are.
- TV or radio commercials that insult even the most basic level of intelligence. Sure doesn't want to make me buy the product.
- Radio ads, typically on satellite or late night radio where the 1800 telephone number is repeated about 100 times in the ad, at the end.
- Litterbugs
- The emergence of SUVs and other gas guzzling behemoths that soccer moms transport precious Timmy around in.
- SUV sized baby strollers and the fact that they block aisles and the like
- Parents who take their 3 screaming brats and the SUV sized child carrier with them to do light shopping.
- Canuck, Oiler and Leaf fans. You can all rot in hell.
- Anyone who says that Bertuzzi 'has paid his price' - no he hasnt, and I will boo him or otherwise remind him of that incident until the day he is out of the league for good.
- Coveralls that don't quite cover all.
- The price of things in Calgary's economy. Is there a reason why a chocolate bar costs $1.25 now?
- The whole PC vs Mac thing, although the commercials are well done.
- Panhandlers - you want the money I earned by working to be given to you, someone who is too lazy/unreliable/etc to get a job? I dont think so, and I dont feel the slightest bit bad either. We have lots of programs to get you back on your feet fella, maybe if you stayed off the bottle and drugs...

Thats all I can think of right now, I'm sure I will add more later.

Turns out that I really hate people and think society is going down big time. Can ya tell?

If you are going to rant about spelling and grammar, you may want to run a spell checker before you post.
