I can't speak to this situation, but in general people don't mind nuggets or tidbits.
what they do hate is someone who says they have info on something and then not giving up anything.
If you know something and can't or won't share any of it, why bother saying anything at all?

I do think this team could be great with two moves. A forward and a goalie. We limit teams to low shots, we get plenty of shots, just nothing elite.. we need a forward and we need a goalie.
