If you look at the two plays , Zadorov PK and the OT , there's one thing in common, Mangiapane! He looks out of place all the time! Zadotov and Hanifin's job is to get the puck and take the puck off the man who has it

This team will be better next year. Selling now is not going to get us anything. Goal tending has bit the team in the ass really hard so far. Fist shot is a goal most games. Can’t play from behind.

This team just has no luck. It's honestly that simple.
All the hyperbole about the team sucking, or sell everyone is an overreaction to what might be the most unlucky season I've ever seen.
The goaltending shouldn't be this bad but it just is.
The bad finishing shouldnt be this bad either, they have talent and generate just as much quality in high danger areas as last year.
Just one of those seasons and it hurts because it truly feels like a wasted opportunity.

Sooo Flames...badly outplay the other team...still find a way to lose. Bad goaltending, brain farts, stupid penalties, no finish.
I can't think of a single game this year that the Flames deserved to lose but somehow found a way to win. Lots of examples of the opposite though.
So incredibly frustrating.

This was about complete Calgary game imaginable...
Goal on first shot
While still giving up virtually no shots, get down by 2
Get a ton of chances and not manage to score
Finally battle back and take a lead, giving hope to all
5 min to go, make a dumb play resulting in the tying goal
Another dumb play and lose in OT

Pretty clear that the Flames just can't overcome their talent deficit. They play hard, they mostly do what the coach wants. But lack the horses to be able to best the upper teams in the league.
