Flames start new year off right!
Your Calgary Flames proved that you can eat all the turkey and left overs you want and still be ready to "roll".
Heading into the dark confines of the Blue Jackets arena, the Flames pulled off a win and a ready to make a run for the playoffs.
Winning 4-2 over the impressive Jackets was no small feat. Satan lead the way with a goal and two helpers and an a first star selection. Iggy Pop was a second star selection wilst hitting for his 20th goal of the season. And stalworth defenceman, Sergei Gonchar added a goal and an assist.
In his first game with the big club, youngster Duvie Westcott made his presence known. Not only did the big lad help out with an assist, but he should that he wanted to play with the big boys by collecting a total of 14 minutes in penalities.
Next up are the Black Hawks. One is never sure of what team shows up with Chicago, so the Flames best be ready for this one.
