Imagine the boon you could get for toffoli at this point. Brad can make a massive ROI.

Tampa loves Jeannot almost as much as TheSandman does

Nope
It's like if Walker Duehr had a 40 point season, then dropped to 20 again and somehow got this return.

Cap hit most likely. $850k. Probably figure they can fit him in for cheap going forward.

I though this guy was 23 or something but he is about to turn 26, probably not much upside anymore. Makes this even stranger.

The epitome of gritty middle 6 depth. Perfect for a playoff run.
They did it with Coleman, Goodrow, and Paul before. Jeanott can check and last year he showed he can have a scoring touch.

A full draft of assets for a plug. It's insanity.

He's on an expiring contract that counts $800k against the cap. What's left on that, $200k?
Meanwhile Toffoli's contract doesn't expire until June 2024 and he carries a cap hit of $4.25 million. That's why Jeannot returns so much, and Toffoli is worthless in terms of trade value.

Help, save, whatever.

Is Jeannot much better than Accari? The Leafs get him and ROR seems like a sweet deal.

I'm imagining the phone call between the GMs here and Tampa kicks things off with a ridiculous offer that blows Poile away but he bs's a bit, counters with a couple picks added and then done deal

Exactly, while Toffoli has already gotten his big raise. That's why this guy is worth so much, and our guy isn't worth anything.
