Your point is irrelevant. This all happened years before PP was on the scene as the leader of the CPC. The Liberal Party has literally been compromised for years.
This will be the first election where this incident is tested. They have been unelectable sine the JWR affair.
I was just answering your question of when they would lose. The answer is when you have at least a Harper type who keeps the crazies in line.
You think Trudeau colluded with the Chinese to get a minority government?
No, but probably looked the other way in two elections where he was behind in the polls in popular vote.
This isn’t a partisan issue yet I can’t believe the reaction to this. A foreign government has been interfering in our elections and influencing its outcomes and there’s posters trying to rationalize away why somehow ‘all’s well that ends well’ because their preferred party appears to be the beneficiary or that the party they oppose might benefit if this recieved the attention it deserves.

I don’t see anyone trying to rationalize it, could you maybe quote where this has occurred? I’m just trying to avoid having people think that you’re making things up.

I'm (obviously) a big supporter of Trudeau, but this doesn't look good.
A full inquiry should be conducted and the results shared with Canadians.
Scary thinking Xi could have the ear of a prominent Liberal MP.
In that respect though, I'd be astonished if he already didnt even without this revelation.
You dont figure some of that sweet, sweet 'Pay for Access' money that the Liberals love comes from a Bank Account in Beijing?
Granted, I'd also be shocked if the same thing couldnt be said about the Cons or NDP, their voices just dont cost as much because they're not as valuable at the moment.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
The CCP influenced, to a small degree, to get some liberals elected. Because they perceive the liberals to be more favorable to China?
Then why did Xi Jingping throw an absolute tantrum when they met at the G20 a few months ago?
Perhaps Trudeau hasn't been favorable towards the CCP's aims?
That shows that decision making isn’t compromised. However look at how much information to internal policy and strategy these individuals will be able to have. Knowing what discussions are happening and where rhetoric ends and action begins is very valuable. Controlling decisions isn’t a spy’s only value.
There’s also a difference between what the initial story was CCP trying to influence outcomes of ridings for conservatives or liberals and planting their own operatives or willing conspirators into non-competitive ridings to get them elected.
The second global story or far more concerning than the first

How do you judge that the influence was "to a small degree" though? The Liberals and NDP are blocking the evidence so we can't see anything. We know that CSIS and the reporter allege money, volunteers and such were provided to get MPs elected. It's honestly indefensible, even if you think Trudeau has handled China just fine. To me, you can't just say "well sure our democracy has been knowingly compromised but it's ok because I'm happy with the job they've done". To each their own though.

I’m not opposed to an inquiry, with that being said though I don’t think much will come of it because some of the most important finding will probably not be released to the public as it’s unlikely that our security agencies will want China to know how they caught them.

Locke the world is volatile enough right now without needing someone to make a Winnie the Pooh reference while discussing China.
Quote:
Exactly what got new posts about Oliver’s show booted from social media is unclear, but Chinese censors, as Oliver pointed out on his show, have been clamping down hard on jokes likening the president to Pooh in an effort to stop the spread of a popular meme.
“Apparently, Xi Jinping is very sensitive about his perceived resemblance to Winnie the Pooh,” Oliver said Sunday. “And I’m not even sure it’s that strong a resemblance, to be honest. But the fact he’s annoyed about it means people will never stop bringing it up.” Which Oliver did, repeatedly.
Um you know that Western Standard Pitchbot is a parody account, it even states it right in the profile.
Well aware of that, I constantly press refresh on Pierre Pollievre’s twitter account to see when he is going to say something about the Nazi meeting on twitter. If there is not a 4 minute car video about the subject I just assume Pierre has not commented on it.
