Looks like the Oilers partied too hard in Columbus last night.

Buchnevich opens the scoring 23 seconds into the second period. Malkin has just tied it at 1-1. The main story of the game so far is Binnington in the Blues net. The Penguins out shot the Blues 21-7 in the first period.

Oshie and Kuznetsov with a pair of goals and Ovechkin had two assists. The Capitals get two points and are now in a four way tie for 8th place in the eastern conference. The problem for the Capitals and Panthers is that the Sabres and Red Wings have four games in hand on them.

The Avs are not quite as dominant as last year, but when healthy they are still easily the best team in the conference. A healthy Avs team is head & shoulders better than a healthy Oilers team and it's not close... it would not be much of a series (unless there's officiating shenanigans).

The Penguins continue to put pressure on the Blues, but, Binnington is stopping everything! The shots are 42-21 for the Penguins and it is still tied 1-1 midway through the third period.

Bad scheduling by Rogers with having the Bruins at Canucks being played three hours earlier. Simply pathetic! The Oilers-BJs should have been at 1700h.

Pettersson scores his first goal of the season, 2-1 Penguins with less than six minutes left in regulation time.

Faulk scores the tying goal with several players dog piling in the crease.

I happened to be out and catch the 3rd in the EDM/CBJ game.

Both teams are bad. The Jackets spent the first half hemmed into their own end, looking like they were playing shorthanded instead of 5 on 5. But at least they came out with the win in the end.

Haha Oilers!

You know what they say, Columbus is the Las Vegas of the Edmonton's.

The injury list for the BJ’s is a pretty good explanation of why they’ve done so poorly this year.

Ronny complains McBaby should be in prime time, he is playing too many afternoon games. However, they spent a considerable time gushing over him. Blech!

Klingberg has scored for the Ducks in the second period, 1-0 Anaheim. This would be a major upset and as usual it is the John Gibson goaltending show. The Hurricanes are outshooting the Ducks 41-17 after forty minutes!
