Shadow Banning Yoho

Haven't read the thread, but I'd say clearly Yoho has won, based on their user name in the title of the #1 thread on the board after a couple of days.

The grand jury of CP will need some quoted examples of his alleged transgressions to form their (ultimately meaningless) verdict on the matter

The Russia War thread post was fringe-y and in poor taste to follow up Pointman's update (bless him and his family), but I still don't see what warrants suggesting a forum wide shadow ban of a guy that drops tone deaf yahoo tweets from the conspiracy well here and there

There are a lot of posters that people love to hate here. Show us how Yoho distinguishes himself from the usual scum & villainy

It’s not Yohos posts that are special it’s the community reaction to Yohos posts that requires the intervention. People can’t leave his posts alone and people can help telling other people to ignore is posts.

So instead of polluting other threads we do it here.

What would be your suggestion on how to improve the forum given the example of the Ukraine thread?

Meh. I thought his latest post in the Ukraine/Russia thread, directly succeeding Pointmans post was pretty distasteful. Other than that, idgaf.

What a ridiculous thread. CP's "mean girls" calling out a poster and urging for a banning is just deliciously ironic. These pearl clutching unaccomplished self-absorbed self-identified intellectuals would lose their minds if the same thing would happen to them. Of course Yoyo is not going to respond to this or any of the self-proclaimed "cool kids" because you aren't worth their time and because you gave them everything they could ever ask for. I mean, what "intellectual giant" makes a thread dedicated to an obvious troll, giving them the acknowledgement and glory they desire? Some real 4D chess going on there.

I frequent the same threads and see him posting tweets that go against the views of say Alberta politics. He won't give explanations and gets posters knickers in a knot because he won't answer their questions.

So what if he likes Danielle Smith and the UCP. Yet people get offended and say he's ruining the thread and discussions. Put him on ignore say some here!

Problem is many just don't have the will power to scroll past his posts and decide to mock and insult him at every opportunity. Then comes a thread entirely devoted to Yoho.

I don't know. I mean I am not winning any popularity contests on here either and I tend to go off like a bang at times, mostly because my life has turn to utter dog #### at this point in my life, you have no idea! So then I post something stupid and dig myself a big damn hole, make myself an easy target, and my mental well being goes straight to hell because for some damn reason I am sensitive to what complete strangers think of me on an internet forum and when they come at me everything I am going through in real life just magnifies the fact that everything really sucks. With that out of the way I have no idea who this Yoho guy is because I tend to stay off the off topic forums. If he is just deliberately trolling and gets banned he will most likely find a way back anyhow. So what is accomplished by banning him? I think everyone putting him on ignore might work better as suggested.
