I guess what coach Q did wasn't good enough although it got him 3 cups in Chicago.

And what about this season? Like I said, outside of Huberdeau and Weegar, everyone else is trucking along offensively. So because a couple of guys are struggling means it’s the coach’s fault and he needs to go?
Secondly, when it comes to Huberdeau. I didn’t know much about him at all when we acquired him. So it’s not like there was kind of preconceived hatred for the guy. I just watched a few games of his games and made my predictions from there and it turned out exactly like I thought it would. If he starts to play more like he did against the Rangers and win more puck battles, 50/50s like I said he needed to earlier in the season, then he can start to change around the narrative.
Lastly, I don’t know what coach Q has to do with any of this. I’m not a coach hater like the majority of CP seems to be. I’ve always typically defended coaches. This place has an addiction with firing coaches when things aren’t going well and I’m just saying, maybe that’s not always the solution.

With virtually no PP time compared to playing PP2 consistently in Florida

I don't believe that's true. He had only 3 power play points last year, and only 7 pp points in his last 6 years in Florida. He had only 40 seconds of PP time/game last year, 25 seconds the year prior, 12 seconds the year before that....
He actually has 45 seconds per game here.

The Flames are 13th this year in goals per game at 3.2 G/GP. Maybe not top offensive team, but far from "an offensive black hole". It's not "banking on goaltending" to expect even league average goaltending from a tandem that provided that in spades last year.

Yeah this is it, he's producing like a shutdown D this year, on pace for 25 points. Those guys don't generally get eight year deals late into their thirties so I can understand the criticism, although it's a bit unfair. Weegar can't use his transitioning skills nearly as much in Sutter's system which limits his impact.

And it's strictly on ice shooting percentage related and still hes only 1 point behind Hanifin and Andersson when it comes to 5v5 points, tied for 39th in the whole NHL.
Not some type of issue of not fitting into the system or playing shinny last year.
His on ice shooting percentage is down 2.5% vs his last two seasons in Florida, I have a hard time pinning that on him.

Weegar has spent much of the season with Tanev, has he not? Love Tanev, but he isn't exactly pushing the play up-ice.
Last year, Weegar played a fair bit with Ekblad I believe - fairly significant difference in expected points just from that change.
For defensemen especially, role and utilization matter a lot.

I would imagine Weegar and Tanev are getting the lions share of defensive zone starts, where it was probably much different for Weegar in Florida. Just a guess.

With Weegar his defensive side and prevention are the reason he is here. Exits and scoring are just extra.

Since caps are retooling what would it take to land that 6-4 rhs beast tom Wilson? That would make Sutter orgasim a sutterism lol
But seriously he is the missing power forward we need rhs big game changer

If he wasn't Tom Wilson I'd be okay with a player like that. But not Tom Willson, he's #2 on the global all time DB hockey player list. Don't want no part of the dirty ass shenanigans he does.

Players change mature I think the guy has changed I do agree but look at Kadri he changed so did looooch. We have to many small left shot guys who can win a board battle.

I would LOVE to land Wilson, he's a force of intimidation out there. Dirty or not, he moves the needle. Sutter would love him, and he helps in the playoffs. The only concern is how he plays, now that he's back from injury. Imagine him against the Oilers....

Honestly, I wish we would go all out and get the meanest and chippiest players we can when they can also play the game. I miss the days when other teams hated to play the Flames.

Count me in as someone who wants a RHS, mean, power forward. Was hoping Chucky would sort of fill that role but as a lefty. Too bad that ship sailed but maybe there's an option in the 1st round this year?

Tom Wilson is like Tkachuk. You hate him when he’s on another team but you’d love them if they were on your own team. It would put a sour taste in my mouth if the Flames got him I’m not gonna lie. But the guy can play

Don't forget chirpiest too, just chirp, chirp, chirp and drive the other team nuts. When they drop the gloves and try to fight, just smirk at them.

Staples and Stauffer would try to get the police service involved, I'd reckon

This is what Tkachuk couldn't get right in the playoffs. He would drive the other team crazy, but then jump right into noose with them.
