They track high danger chances and expected goals though. Even based off of those stats, Flames goalies are bad.

That may be true, but Farabee’s agent should shut up though.

Man, I would love to have Farabee. I understand the problem with the cap-hit, but we could sure use him.

Lot's of turmoil in Blues land. Berube pointing the finger at his top players. Robert Thomas on St. Louis Blues radio this morning was "frustrated" by the comments; saying it wasn't true. On the same morning show, Jeremy Rutherford said there was tension in the Blues locker room at the start of the season when Kyrou and Thomas got their big contracts, and Kyrou in particular, wasn't playing to that level. Vets on the team thought he was playing lazy, not back checking etc. Apparently there are different factions in the locker room, some happy that Tarasenko was moved, others mad that O'Reilly was moved. Rutherford speculating if Kyrou might get moved; he then shot down his own thoughts, followed by "you never know".

hard being a hockey fan now when the Flames and my adopted team Blues both suck

Not so sure about that. A similar disparaging tweet by Huberdeau's agent galvanized the Flames.

For one game.

Cap-issues aside, I think Kapanen could be a Huselius-type reclamation scenario. Plays RW too.

Ahahahahah. Maybe it was the one they were supposed to win in the pattern.

I don't see that type of skill with Kap like Juice.

I also don't think Calgary is the place for anyone to come to realize their offensive potential. Not under Sutter.

Like Gaudreau and Tkachuk couldn't?

Francis interview with Brad. Mostly more of the same. A few interesting tidbits. about Kylington, & about whether he will buy or sell.

I really hope they don’t do anything. And it sounds like they probably won’t.

The biggest issue for the Flames is goaltending and there’s no easy trade fix for that. They just have to hope that one of Markstrom, Vladar or Wolf can deliver next season.

They allegedly didn’t want to move him for Tkachuk so I doubt he’s even available

Career years for two guys on contract years?

We also didn't trade for them.

I wasn’t saying that Kap will put up Huselius-type numbers, but I think he could potentially pop under Sutter. There’s guys on the team that are producing just fine under Sutter right now.

Lindholm and Hanafin both had career offensive years. Traded for them.

Sutter is hard on young players, but it’s not like this team is a complete offensive black hole, quite the opposite. Offensive players can do well here, the system tilts the ice in our favour. Check our analytics.

Plus, Kapanen might not have Huselius-type puck wizardry, but it’s not like he’s completely devoid of skill. Plus, he’s got 20 points in 43 games right now, playing on the third-line, and in the coaches doghouse.
