Now, if Nordic Media was picked BECAUSE of their connection to Smith, that's a problem. They would have had to declare that as a conflict of interest, so either they did NOT do that, or they straight up weren't asked (which is what I suspect).

Sole source is $10k for Provincial unless it meets specific exemptions.

Listening to Nenshi and Farkas on CBC Radio this morning, I came away feeling, sadly, we're inevitably headed for another UCP government come Spring, with yyc largely tipping the scales...
The democraziness will go on...

Oh look a Danielle Smith connection to the dumpster fire that is the far-right dinner party. Pretty sure she was pumping his quotes on her social media when she was legislating that turd.

Totally Constitutional!

I think it’s going to be a close race either way, it’s just too bad there aren’t more parties in this province to create an environment where we could at least end up with a minority government. Even if nothing gets done during that term it’s a lot better than the alternative of the UCP being given free range to do whatever they want unopposed again.

That's my gut feeling too based solely on water cooler talk at work, beer league hockey etc.
What were Nenshi and Farkas saying?

Danielle Smith & Jordan Peterson were having lunch together today. Wonder what those two winners have in common?

well, we'll see how much she bribes the idiots of this province to vote UCP.
Prepare for a windfall, Calgary.

Because you’re so much smarter right?
Don’t most hand outs go to more left leaning individuals typically on social assistance?

I kind of like this fickle Calgary strategy. In past, the Cons would take it for granted, clash and talk down to our local leaders. The NDP only really cared about Edmonton
Both parties will be one upping each other to get our votes. May see a new arena because of it.
Kinda feels good.

I'm sure you have many well sourced examples of these hand outs?

My face is a bum!

Of course people will vote in their self interests. The rich will vote for less taxes, the poor will vote for more support programs.
That said, 43% of low income (< $50k household income) Americans voted Trump, and 43% of high income (>$100k) voted Biden, so it's not some universal statement of fact.
What a shame a system exists that incentivizes support of poor people in some fashion.

O/G getting that sweet social assistance money from Danielle. They need the most help and Albertans should be ecstatic.

Obviously all of those left-leaning oil companies and moochers that shirk are their responsibilities, or maybe the poor owners of the Flames that can barely afford to build a new arena.

The UCP are corporate socialists. Giving money and tax breaks to O/G instead of mandating they sort our their own ####. Arena funding will likely be next, too.
Conservatives actually love socialism, as long as it's corporate. Otherwise, it's the worst thing ever.
