Or just zero shots on net. They almost pulled that off last night.

How about we shoot for not James Neal and build off that? Set the bar at a reasonable level.

8 points behind Vegas for the division lead. If Markstrom made 10 more saves this would be a game for 1st place tonight.

I actually hope Marky starts tonight. The guy has to flip the script now if we are going to go anywhere for the rest of the year.

If we want to win this game tonight the best spot for Markstrom would be a front row seat watching the game from the bench.

Spin the wheel and find out which team is going to show up tonight.
I'm going to go out on a limb and predict a solid 1st, middling 2nd, 3rd period collapse and a loss in OT.

Since we're doing the Walker Duehr comparisons, last night I had flashbacks to former 30-goal scorer Chris Clark! Speed to burn and some physicality. Flashes of hands here and there.

I think we will at least take it to OT. We actually have one of the best records in the league vs. playoff teams (and unfortunately one of the worst vs. non-payoff teams).

I know people will be mad and call me Oilers fan and whatever but don’t win tonight and the playoffs chance is slim

Wow, I can't believe Chris Clarke scored 30!

Or if the Flames scored 10 more goals.
Or if the defense had 10 less brain cramps
Or if Huberdeau put up 10 more points, etc......
I would love if the only issue this season was Markstrom, it would be such a simple fix, but it's clearly not. Lots of issues need to be cleaned up to make the playoffs. Luckily for the Flames they still have time to improve in multiple areas.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Folks, much like the Flames, we need to stop trying or hoping for Markstorm to find his game. Its not happening at this point. What you see is what we're going to get for the remainder of this season, however long it may last.

Isn't that the point of the comment though? We don't need all of those things fixed - any one of them would be enough to have the team in a divisional spot. If Markstrom was contending for the Vezina, Huberdeau was leading the league in assists, the depth scoring contributed a bit more, and the D never turned the puck over, we'd be running away with the President's trophy.
You don't have to be flawless to win the division.
