Well this game's likely over. Another pathetic effort across the board but Markstom really sucked the life out of them on a shot that any of us could have stopped.

Markstrom really is a Swedish version of Mike Smith. Big goalie who people think is good because he can make acrobatic saves. In reality he makes those saves because he is wildly out of position and in desperation mode. Then for such a big body with big equipment he inexplicably has pucks go right through him.

And then the odd times they get a great scoring chance, they miss the net or flub the shot. Very hard hockey to watch this season.
Entry strategy and setup are all coaching. Both are complete failures based on percentages.

Honestly couldn't count on one hand how many times he's been the better goalie in a game this season, and I swear he's faced a backup/3rd string goalie in like half his starts
And that's only if you lost a few fingers in shop class.
And you guys really let him off the hook last game against the Rangers. That game tying goal was putrid.

Both the post pp goals the forwards have changed while the d hasnt. Forwards are all out of place and tired defenseman mean complete disorganization.

Every team has breakdowns, Problem is every time its been a bit scrambly in their own zone it's been a goal against.

The second goal is not saveable, but the 1st and 3rd are and again they both go in.

There have been 4 scoring chances for Philly tonight

3 went in , and one went through him and Anderson pulled it off the line

No wonder this team looks so fragile . You have to play perfect D and still expect 2-3 goals against

Dude, he’s been playing pretty good lately - and in this game he’s not been bad.

Plenty to be pissed at this game, but I’d focus on Markstrom, Kadri, and Hanifin.

If Markstrom can make an actual save of importance, this game is very different. $6M goalie playing like an ECHL goalie is at the core of this rot.

Can the goalies stop being aggressively bad

Like, you don't have one hot streak in you this year Markstrom?

To be fair our defense is really struggling this year. Weegar hasn't gelled with anyone. Hanifin with a really poor game this game.

Kylington's absence hurts us more than I ever imagined. It mis-aligns everything back there

Everybody is taking too long to make pass during the PP. And nobody wants get open. Stand one place even you are covered.

I don’t think they have struggled . Every team gives up chances

The Flames are elite at limiting shots, and good at limiting high danger scoring chances

It’s just that every chance against goes in while other goalies bail out their D

The first one is all on Hanifin for a brutal turnover that leads to odd man rush. Nothing to do with tired defence or forwards, just a brutal play.
