Very good period , however sometimes a goalie steals you the period with big saves

And this is what I seldom see with the Flames. A goalie stealing a period

God forbid Markstrum comes up big on the only scoring chance Philly got .

Also again the Flames are dominating until a soft penalty call gives the other team momentum.
Or make two passes for the easy tip in. They essentially played it like a two on one without a Dman.

Good mental test for the Flames. Domination and then fall behind. The Flyers I'm sure will pick it up so Flames have to match and keep up their level and confidence and it will come.
But, if they now come out play scared it could be trouble, as that's what happened too many times this year.

That's what I mean too. It's so late it's not even a choice for Huberdeau.

And watching it again I don't love that goal on Markstrom. Beat short side...it was just above the pad and between the blocker but thats one I think he'd want back.

This period seems to be the story for the year. Far ahead in every statistic. Behind on the scoreboard.

It's like voodoo when they have the puck about to shoot

I understand it with 1 or 2 guys. Not 20

They're only 3 or 4 games over .500

They'll absolutely be overtaken by whichever teams have several games in hand on them

Feel bad for Travis Sanheim. Family in attendance and he's a healthy scratch. Gross.

If Huberdeau hung onto that puck he could have scored with a deke, the goaltender was committed

He was almost behind the goal line how was he supposed to deke?

Kadri is a terrible passer and has awful vision that was the issue on that play.

The goalie also has the entire bottom half covered and is to the post - and the defenceman was sliding right at his heel, there’s no chance for Huby to do anything but what he did.
