Good point. But the main legwork is done. If my agent was going rogue for me and it was causing issues in the dressing room (I don’t know if this would or wouldn’t) then I’d fire my agent immediately. Huberdeau has control here as he’s not facing free agency. Your agent is your representation… they’re supposed to represent you.

I'm old fashioned also I guess. When people are being paid good money I expect them to hold their end of the bargain.

It actually painted Huberdeau in a worse light didnt they?

By saying he signed off on Walsh saying this.

Have you not seen Ballers? There's hookers, there's blow... there's hiding stories about hookers and blow...

That's what I mean. Possibly blowing it out of proportion.

If Huberdeau really didn't give his blessing as he said, then that significantly changes my initial views on him throughout this.

The same scenario is getting exposed here.. His EGO won't allow certain things to be done not his way despite a high probability of success. We have all been in work scenarios where in order for success to happen, we want or would like this and that.

I am a firm believer if ownership, who's paying sky high salaries, demands that the negative aspect of Sutter's coaching system get's looked after in order for success. I don't buy this nonsense that shouldn't occur.
I'll leave this here.

Nope, it's not unusual to jump to conclusions or to confirm bias. I mean, I already knew that to be true even before I saw anyone actually do it.

Does he have a short shelf life? If he went as long for the Flames as he did for the kings or sharks for that matter, he would have the longest coaching tenure in franchise history. Also, I remember him leaving to be just the GM very differently. He no longer wanted to be coach/gm/farmer and needed to drop one. His last year as a flames coach was one of their best seasons despite the playoffs. First I've heard that was anything other than a Sutter driven move.

I’m of this opinion too. Not a lot of guys in that locker room with Sutters experience and history of success. The guys didn’t play well with players coaches, now they’re unhappy under a hard ass. Winning helps!

I might not have worded it properly but in Sutter's eye, he was not going to be demoted and go back to coaching. I still think him leaving/being quietly fired was more him than ownership.

What drives me nuts is that he than went to LA a short while later and had incredible, short term success. We had him in the organization and instead of the team coming to an arrangement for him to go back to coaching, with a lighter hand, we let him go.

LA got the Sutter and the success and now we are doomed to be left with the garbage leftovers and the mess again. Drives me nut's
