Walsh is a passionate guy and see's what a lot of us are seeing here. That's probably why he does so well and has so many clients - but there are certain situations where you need to shut up, and this was one of them. Hell I even agree with the guy, but this didn't help anything. I am sure Jonathan is not very happy with him at the moment but everyone will move on.

Of course that was going to be the "intended" consequence of Walsh's tweet.

Can Stones agent tweet. Sometimes assisting the other team in two goals can suck the joy out of the game.

Everybody talking about a tweet rather than a disastrous game against a "lesser" team.
Walsh playing 4D chess.

Or maybe it's a galvanizer. Would be nice if the team came together from this.
Damn, Walsh is so good at manipulation that maybe Sutter should hire him as GM.

Maybe he is trying to get the owners attention knowing Trelivings deal is up and he wants to be our next GM.

This is a dumb question, why does Huberdeau need an agent now? He's signed for this year plus 8 more. What else does an agent do?

All this, evidently.

I actually see a team playing exactly the way Sutter describes how he thinks this team can win. The only difference is our goaltending is bad. Personally I find Sutters system boring to watch .

Yes, but what’s the alternative? There’s no perfect coach out there. Do we hire yet another coach and go back to a club house atmosphere where the players have no accountability, no work ethic and no identity? What’s the lesser of 2 evils here because CP has always managed to find a way to poke holes in every coach that’s hired.
To me, the ultimate mistake was the Huberdeau trade itself which is something the GM should have to answer for. His game clashes so badly with this roster and the tight checking playoff style Sutter deploys. If I knew that Huberdeau would not be a good fit here after just a few games of analysis, how could a professional group of highly paid scouts and managers not see it? Then they go and sign this guy to an $84M deal without ever seeing him play a game here. This is turning out to be another James Neal fiasco all over again.

Because an agent gets paid throughout those 8 years. He's already earned the money but gets paid out every year.
It's like collecting insurance premiums.

They're still basically a professional manager/advocate right? You focus on playing and they can help take care of the other stuff, like I'm sure several GMs talk to agents of players under contract. I doubt like when Gaudreau's parents were flying up and the Flames were putting them up the Flames were planning it with Johnny specifically. An Agent could assist with that between the Family and the team.

This is an organizational issue, end of story. We have seen this song and dance before with the same coach.
Sutter is an excellent coach, no doubt about it but he has major flaws that get exposed. He is relentless, 24/7., 366 days a year so to speak. He is in full Blitzkrieg mode all the time. That has a very short life to it and it's been shown time and time again.
In Calgary in his first coaching stint, it happened, than he got moved to GM and proceeded to make a disaster of this team. Instead of ownership and upper management (Ken King etc) forcing him to either step behind the bench and be more relaxed sometimes or go, he left. Than he went to LA an had a short period of incredible success followed by stories of literally being thrown out and locked out of the players dressing room. When you are being told by your team your presence is NOT WANTED RIGHT NOW than you know you've crossed the line.
The same scenario is getting exposed here.. His EGO won't allow certain things to be done not his way despite a high probability of success. We have all been in work scenarios where in order for success to happen, we want or would like this and that.
I am a firm believer if ownership, who's paying sky high salaries, demands that the negative aspect of Sutter's coaching system get's looked after in order for success. I don't buy this nonsense that shouldn't occur.
I recall reading a quote years ago from Tom Brady on his relationship with Bill Belichick that went somewhere along the lines of "He knows when to push my buttons and when to let off. Routinely he blasts me in game film review in front of everybody and I am thinking to myself, you can't talk to me like that, I am league MVP, I have won how many Super Bowls. In the end though, he was right, I made a terrible play there and it cost the team. On the flip side he has my back all the time"
I don't know if Sutter knows where the line is or when he is making his own coaching mistakes and doesn't take personal responsibility. That type of EGO maniac stuff get's exposed and is very resentful to players. Bill Belichick still talks about needing to be a better coach and making better decisions and this goes on AFTER games where he's won. Sutter questioned the entire world about who on earth is capable of stopping McDavid after our series vs Edmonton and Colorado showed him it can be done in a handful of days yet he's making it out to be impossible and not just difficult.
Ugly scenario all around
