Yea, I think I know which side I'm on here.
Lmao terrible post.

Sutter isn't getting generational wealth? He came back to coach for free?

Sutter was on a path to destruction because this ownership group was loyal to a fault with him.

The agent has done this with previously without players contest go look at Frolik and MAF before you jump on Huberdeau.

If this is how Huberdeau addresses his poor performance then I’ve lost a lot of respect for him. How about you take accountability for your play instead of trying to find a scapegoat. We can see you don’t like the coach, but it’s very poor professionalism to find excuses and not take some personal pride. If it comes out that he and his agent colluded on this statement then I would rather have him not be a Calgary Flame. Ownership and management gave a ton of money and made you the richest Flames of all time.

Maybe I’m jumping the gun and this is an agent who is just running his mouth but I would be extremely angry if Huberdeau decided to address his unhappiness in this manner and making it a public circus.

I guess he misses all that playoff success they had in Florida.

Things could get spicy here. Sutter will undoubtedly get asked about this, and he's been increasingly critical about that line's production in the media.

If we are going to be tied to this 10.5mm anchor then we might as well get some entertainment out of it.

Anyway, Huberdeau has been trash in every situation, 5 on 5, powerplay etc. I don't know if he's gripping it too tight or feeling the pressure, but his problems go way beyond the coach and tactics.

8 years and 84 million dollars. I have a feeling ownership needs to make this work and this tweet can’t be ignored.

He's not really telling us anything we didn't already know, Fan 960 and Barn burner and pretty much every Flames beat reporter has been hinting at this all year. I have to assume the rift is pretty bad for Walsh to insert himself into the situation.

Brad I'm sure would have liked to just ignore it. He probably still will, but now Toronto talking heads will be pontificating on the drama

Huby came out on fire tonight. Had like 5 shot attempts in the first period, hit a post, was generating all on his own.

Gave Kadri effectively an empty net - missed the net.

There’s a bigger problem than one player “DGAF”ing.

Huberdeau has been the most negative thing about this whole season.

I'm not pointing my finger at Huberdeau, I said "players". I'm just not impressed an agent come out tweet something like this.

If Huberdeau was a PPG the team would be in a fight for 1st in the division

So huby himself could've been part of the solution too

At some point you have to accept the tough coach as part of the package and make the best of it

Pity parties never solved anything

I dunno, advocating on behalf of clients is very much part of an agent's job. You can disagree about whether it should be done publicly or privately but I think you'd have to be pretty naive to think this is the first time Walsh has expressed any sort of displeasure this year.

Maybe decline the contract then Walsh?

Dude hasn't contributed to winning hockey this year, so ya, I hope he's joyless. Only one entitled to a little joy now and then are the fans. I see winning hockey players experience it too, but not Huberdeau. I've seen it from Sutter and his players a few times. Not Huberdeau. If he wants to tell his agent to lay his god awful year at the hands of another, he can #### right off. Loser ####.

He needs to be better. I think a big part of it is just his overall confidence, and that he's feeling the pressure.

But I still see a guy way too focused on defensive responsibility at 5v5 - and I really can't help but think that he's over focused on that because it's what the coach emphasizes.

Huberdeau ranks among forwards:

HDCA/60: 9.07 (1st)
xGA/60: 2.12 (2nd)
GA/60: 2.06 (3rd)

That has never been part of Huberdeau's game in his career...if anything he's always been a high event player and a bit leaky defensively. This year he has very, very stingy defensive numbers. He's tried to adapt to what's being asked of him for sure.

And even though his lack of production has been frustrating, Huberdeau has a 54% GF% (4th), and a 55.5% xGF% on the back of his strong defensive play. He's still been a net positive which actually wasn't the case in Florida. Lots of time he was in that McDavid/Draisaitl realm where they put up a ton of points but actually ended up being negative on the ledger.

I do think his frustration is building though when it comes to how the team generates offence. There were a couple times tonight where I saw his linemates dump it in when it looked like they could carry the puck in, and then a couple times where they probably could have passed but made a low quality shot instead where he kind of looked like he looked up to the sky or was unhappy after the play.

Considering you missed the point of the post, you're barely worth responding to.

Sutter already had generational wealth. Had nothing left to prove. Zero need to come out of retirement after a career filled with nothing but success.

Huberdeau is freshly off a contract that now guarantees generational wealth, yet he's proven nothing. Won nothing. Talked the talk all summer, but couldn't walk the walk when it came time to do it. And now has an agent cradling him like a parent.

The least Sutter can expect from Huberdeau is to be a professional, play the Sutter way like a professional making $10.5M playing a children's game, and not have his agent whine on social media for him.

Also, I'm quite well aware of Walsh's history, thank you
