Felix breaks and is serving at 4-2 in the opening set. Great speed and a super one-handed flick to set up the break opportunity.
Edit: Nice consolidation and a much better shirt choice today than at the Aussie Open (in my opinion).

Felix breaks again to take set 1 6-2. Pretty tidy set overall, serving well and the ground strokes are clicking thus far today.

Felix breaks Sonego to love (really loose game from the Italian).

Felix cruises to a 6-2 6-3 win over Lorenzo Sonego. Only game where he looked shaky was the opening game of set 2 when he was down 15-40, but the serve bailed him out. 21 winners to 9 unforced errors today, that'll do.

The speed and then the flick winner - Sublime stuff from FAA.

Rebecca Marino lost to Daria Kasatkina 7-6 6-2. Really good first set and was up in the tie-break 4-1 but just couldn't close it out. Oh well, pretty good tourney to even make the main draw from Rebecca.

Emil Ruusuvuori was up 5-3 in the opening set against Greek Yogurt and should have won the opening set. He went on to win one more game in that match losing 7-5 6-1 to Stef.

Dimitrov with a big win over Hubi in Rotterdam just now. And we will be getting a Tsitsipas vs Sinner round 2 match on Thursday.

Hubi is just a head case, he was up most of that match (up a break both sets)

Grigor leads the H2H 3-0 and has won all 4 tie-breaks they have played. Last ATP final Dimitrov played was Rotterdam in 2018.

Meanwhile, Iga is back to doling out bagels with Collins being the latest recipient...
Edit: Iga lost four points total in the opening set lol
Edit 2: Followed up the bagel with a breadstick in set 2.

Pospisil not happy, but only busted one racket, not 3.

Vasek was in the Marseille main draw, but has since pulled out. Might be the best for his mental health at the moment.

Not a big deal to see that from a lot of players, but for a guy like Vasek to be acting like this is definitely concerning. I would say he should shut it down for a month or two and really considering hanging it up if he can't get himself right.
I would imagine it has been a very trying year or two with very few ATP main draw matches. Travelling all over to play at low end tournaments and not being able to get up and play at your best against opposition that you know you should be beating has got to be draining when you're at his age.

It has to be very frustrating to put in all that hard work on the Challenger tour late in 2022 to get the ranking high enough for direct entry into the Aussie Open only to face Felix in the opening round. Sure, he got a nice payday, but that's brutal luck (I mean, look at how well some lesser known guys did at the Aussie Open this year). Vasek needs to take a break and maybe see how he feels for Indian Wells or Miami.
