Why would anyone ever wear jeans on an airplane?

Copper theft, I don't care about whatever it takes to fix issues from said theft, but it's not gonna be a fun day when inevitably I have to find someone dead from cutting the wrong wire.

Think of it this way: would you rather be on a plane filled with hot well-mannered models, or a group that resembles People of Walmart? Like, it's easy to imagine what would be more pleasant to be around. Most of us - given the choice - would hop on a plane with the hotties versus the people rolling up in their rascals (pot calling the kettle black, I know) with their asses hanging out, too-small tube tops, making Tik-Toks in the aisle, shouting, disregarding basic social conventions, main-charactering it up, etc. I don't get why this is confusing you.
|
It’s confusing because I can’t envision how a rational person would be bothered enough to post that as a gear grinder before they’re even on the plane. Would I rather eat a steak than a salad? Or drink a $50 glass of wine than grape juice? Sure. That’s not a gear grinder though, that’s preferring one experience over another. Not being seated on a flight with super models or the cast of Madmen is only a gear grinder if you signed up for that.
Going by the OPs previous posts where even social niceties are frowned upon, his People of Walmart visuals is probably more hyperbole than reality.

You don't see how waiting to board a plane with a bunch of white trash would grind your gears? Okay. Aren't you the same guy who isn't phased by people injecting drugs on the LRT platform, too, though? OP is one end of the scale of being bothered by those around him, but I think you're as extreme, but on the opposite end. The rest of us exist somewhere in the middle.

I wouldn’t say I am in the minority here. Lots of people ride on transit every day and they aren’t running around screaming in terror when they happen upon someone doing drugs or being homeless. However it just occurred to me that maybe my steely calm is helping those would-be terrified people from freaking out and having a meltdown. Good job, me.
I get what you’re saying though. Normal people wouldn’t have been bothered enough by trashy fellow travellers in he airport to write a gear grinder post about it, so I see we’re not as different as we may have believed, my southy friend.

Maybe this is an uncomfortable reality for some, but most people flying from Calgary to Mexico are white trash.

Riding a C-train on a Tuesday and the anticipation of a vacation are going to put someone in two pretty different frames of mind.
Other people are pigs and are by far the worst part of air travel. The best you can hope for is a low ratio of pigs and that none of them are seated adjacent to you. That these types are drawn to the aforementioned $800/week all-inclusives in Mexico gives that hope a slim chance when flying to Mexico, hence the gear grinder.

It never ceases to amaze me what some people where on a flight. It's like they forget they are still in a public place.
You sit in a chair for four hours and watch a movie. Why must you wear pajamas?

Some old geezer next to us at the cinema on the weekend took off his shoes and socks. Some people are pigs.

But that’s representative of the normalization of these things. Like I’m not freaking out about a group of guys smoking crack in a bus shelter, but at the same we’re becoming accustomed to it. Basically, we’re saying “it is what is” or “boys will be boys” and just decide we have to put up with it or accept it as the way of the world today.

We have a firm rule against sweatpants in public. One day your doing a coffee run in swanky LuLus, next thing you know you’re in the middle seat of a southbound 737 with dirty loungers and unwashed hair.
