The same Brunette that got slapped with a DUI less than a month ago?

Also think most of his success can be credited to not changing the systems much (if at all) after Quenneville was gone.

Flames fans are so used to new coaches it's like people who trade their vehicles for the new model every year or two. We finally have a two time cup winning coach and he is facing an unprecedented turnover of the core but yeah, its his fault. I'm sure Quenneville is gong to hop all over coming here though after firing Sutter after being in a playoff hunt with an entirely new core because the fanbase is impatient. Why wouldn't he want to be in that situation!!??

Let alone why you'd want the predominant voice in a sexual assault cover up over Sutter. Lots of embarrassing takes in here.

The Quenneville suggestion is the funniest part.

“I hate this 64 year old coach who won Stanley Cups in 2012 and 2014 and has only been to the second round once since then, the game has passed him by. We need to replace him with a 64 year old who won Stanley Cups in 2013 and 2015 and hasn’t been past the first round once since then, he’ll bring fresh and new ideas of how to win in today’s NHL.”

Maybe wait to see if it's actually proven? 2023 and it's still the Salem witch trials.

I don't see how a year lessens the sexual assault cover up somehow

"has it been enough time yet?"

like there's a magic number where people just forget and move on

this is the kind of thinking that led to Kane re-entering the NHL and playing with the No Goods immediately after a ####storm of alarming accusations months prior

no, Quenneville probably isn't the same aggressively bad person that Kane likely is today, but let's not go emulating that team with our own questionable hires, just because they went and lowered the bar

Who cares. People make mistakes you know. I don't care if he didn't change the system, it worked and he knows it.

If Sutter is fired it better be Scorch behind the bench for the rest of the year.

So you are perfect??? Gtfo here with that take. Nobody is buying it. People are human, they make mistakes. As long as they learn from it that is the main thing. You are going to play the holier than thou card over one DIU? How many others does he have? It was a poor error in judgement under the influence, many people have made that screw up at some point. Yourself included most likely.

Not perfect but don't ever drink and drive. As a first responder I've seen many people injured or killed by impaired drivers. Can't believe you're justifying it, #### off.

Where did I justify it??? Are you that dense? Guess what, I have lost family members to an impaired driver so I have been directly affected. There is no excuse for drinking and driving but are you really saying the guys career should be over from one bad choice? Luckily he didn't kill anyone and maybe he became a better person for it. That is my issue, people in the internet acting like they are perfect angels and anyone who makes a mistake's life should be over. It's bs. We all have done dumb things are made poor choices regardless of whether you will admit it or not.

Just so we're all aware of the details in the brunette DUI, he was in a golf cart driving home from his neighborhood pub. A genius? No. The next flames coach? God I hope not. But a danger to anyone but himself? Not in this case.

Agree! One DUI is one too many. I lost a dear friend in University to a drunk driver, pardon me if I have absolutely no sympathy for people that drive under influence.

It was a golf cart. Stupid? Sure. Criminal? Yep. But not exactly putting everyone in wanton danger like driving down the wrong side of the highway in an F150.

Well I lost my grandparents back in 1997 to an idiot who got hammered at the bar and then hit their car so hard it damn near cut it in half. I don't condone or "justify" anyone getting behind the wheel drunk. I also don't think anyone is perfect either though and considering he was in a freakin golf cart I think it's forgivable in this instance.

Agreed, statistics show that a drunk driver will drive 80 times under the influence before being caught. But it's just a mistake and poor judgement, lol.
