On the 32 thoughts podcast:
LA made it clear to all teams that in any moves they were considering Byfield and Clarke were not being moved.
Friedman says that LA is in the driver's seat but he keeps being told it is not close.
Somewhere between the Kings and Coyotes, it has hit a snag
Friedman thinks the snag is that the teams were talking about a contract that needed to be moved but couldn't agree on which one
It wasn't a principal piece of the trade but an ancillary piece
Doesn't mean the Kings trade couldn't happen
Friedman believes though that the tweet the Coyotes put out has re-engaged the other teams involved in Chychrun
Friedman's best guess is that Byfield or Clarke are not involved
