Teams lose games.
Valimaki putting up 3 or 4 points is still very impressive.

He'll get the fourth one soon. It was given to Keller by mistake.
Was a great game ... he played tremendously well

It was an OT loss, so that means that it is a hopeful loss that a team can build off of. Get enough of them and you can get in a playoff race.

Seems like there can be a lot of risk trading for a long hyped trade target who is the best player on perennially terrible teams:
Bouwmeester
Jokinen
Tomas Kaberle
Rick Nash - maybe a slight reach and injury related, but only his 1st and 3rd seasons with NYR were any good...he didn't crack 40 pts in the other four seasons after leaving CBJ
Probably some other examples, and I'm sure there are times where it does work, but it seems like when a guy is on the trade block for a long time it rarely lives up to hopes/expectations?

Didn't Kaberle win the Cup with Boston?

Jaybo was great, Flames and their fans were idiots

They are really starting to play him, averaging over 22 minutes a game in the last 5 games, 6 assists in those 5 games.

I remember cringing at playing him with Butler, and expecting a miracle. Also, he didn't mesh with B. Sutter's system offensively.

I agree he was solid; I think my point is that he was really just a very solid #2 guy, but not the 26 min a night #1 stud we might have been expecting.

Yes, but he was basically their #5 D. He did have 11 assists so maybe he was more impactful than I remember.

Jaybo was playing D for team Canada the year after the Flames traded him, he was misused and took the blame he didn't deserve

I enjoyed the Cundari era. And Feaster explaining how important it was to have older prospects.

Mark Cundari, Ben Hanowski, Roman Cervenka, Roman Horak, Max Reinhart, Kenny Agostino, Ben Street, Akim Aliu, Leland Irving ... what a wild time that was. Like a fever dream

Still a roman Horak fan. That guy didn't get an adequate nhl shot.

I liked him. He was unlucky, that trade to Mulletville killed any chance of having an NHL career.
