Gotta showcase him for the TDL.

Am I hopelessly naive for thinking this might be a turning point?

probably? They've had several turning point moments this season that end up being one-offs and disappoint you all over again. Cami Kepke of Global had an interesting tweet thread about what it's like

Well, they showed themselves what they need to do to be a dominant team today

Can they replicate it about 20 times?

Solid game start to finish. Glad to see the Flames can keep it together better than a buncha fans after a tough start.

Great too see the urgency. They looked like the team that made me believe last year. They still need to put together a solid string of games though, something they haven't really done all year.

The one ability he seems to have left is being strong on the puck. He’s still one of the few guys who guy physically defend the puck when it’s on his stick like he’s a boulder, but once he gains time and space he can’t do anything with it. His speed is toast, his hits are getting softer, it’s just rough to watch.

I have nothing against Ritchie, I like him as a 13th forward and think he’s bringing what he is paid to bring, but Duehr brings more to the 4th line. I don’t even know if Duehr would excel up the lineup and I don’t need to find out, I just think he brings a bigger energy to the 4th. More mistakes, but more aggressive offensively and defensively. The mistakes will get ironed out with experience. Worth the trade off to me.

Had to leave after 1 and came back to watch the video. Nice!!

Hubie was so happy for Pelletier on his goal.

Good win.

What's weird to me is that he has a fan club that defends his honor after average performances

He had a sub .500 save percentage for half of this game

Finally the team showed up in front. But not really a game to be tooting his horn

Happy he closed it out. But that's just him doing what he's supposed to do

Allowing two goals on 3 shots and being down early isn't exactly a solid start. But yes. Glad they picked it up after Pelletier's first.

Yes. Big time. If there’s a turning point this season it’ll be at game 81.

Maybe not the first 5 min. But after that was surreal. Especially the second period.

I’d like to see Duehr Ritchie Lewis. I think that would be a tough line to play against.
