It’s good that the media are starting to say what almost everyone is thinking though. That’s really their job.

Hopefully Markstrom gets some support today. Buffalo allows lots of goal

He needs to stop the first shot though lol

That’s how it should be. You earn it via performance. You’re contract doesn’t earn it.

A Saturday brunch loss is the best kind of loss.

It sounded like Loubardias heard the rumour on the drive in. If so, I imagine Pagnotta said whatever he said on today's Sirius XM NHL Hot Stove. I understand that show plays at 9 AM. Here's the show description: "Ryan Paton, Dennis Bernstein and Dave Pagnotta take a look back at the week that was in the NHL. They also go thru the weekly rumour mill, along with games of the week."

Pagnota is the same guy that also had Kadri signed by the Islanders in July and it was just filing it with the league. He also had Huberdeau traded 5 minutes after he was a Flame. He's just not very good or well connected to the Flames.

I'm sure there is a lot of tension inside the organization. The team made significant changes brought in a a star player who the coach has turned into Travis Moen. We had Milan Lucic in our top 6 for 2 months. Our goaltending is in shambles with Markstrom the GM has no contract for next season. We have one of thr worst schedules in the league and keep losing 1 goal hockey games because we can't score.

Loubo was pretty vague on the rumor. Said "something is coming down, decision has been made, just waiting for Monday". Didn't sound like it was something good (I.e. Kyllington back). More like a coach was getting fired or someone was getting traded.

But... that's me reporting something that Loubo heard from someone else..

Worst schedule? You mean worst opponents?

Anyone that calls Lou "Mr. positive" hasn't listened to 960 much this year.

Even last season he was raising doubts they could get it done in the playoffs while everyone was planning the parade

He isn't over the top with no solutions like Rhett but he is hard on the team. So is Pat...they are just realistic about things.

Go on a 10 day break before the all star game come back and get sent on a road trip the first day back and play 10am hockey games this is dumb scheduling at its finest.

Not to mention the horrendous reffing we have received all season.

Well yeah the -25 PP differential with a top 5 possession teams seems off...to say the least

Opponents are relatively "easy" though.

Re: the rumour
Might be an update on Treliving’s status. Can’t see them letting him run the deadline if they don’t plan on bringing him back or if he’s decided to move on.

Big news doesn't stay under wraps for 2 days

If something is happening we will likely find out after the game

A portion of every losing team's fan base thinks the refs are against them.

Weak excuse. The team's record is not because of reffing. (Or scheduling for that matter).

That was me, trying to explain the "tone" of the comments. And I also know he's not getting fired. Sorry.

But also, bad reffing affects us more because our powerplay is junk

Refs manage games now, it’s why teams haven’t been able to hold leads like they used to. Trailing team gets powerplays at a way higher clip than the leading team

So yes the reffing is bad league wide but it directly affects our team because we can’t take advantage of the game management standards while other teams can
