I'm a bitter, jaded fan that hates the fact the organization refuses to enter any sort of rebuild even when it's starting them in the face. This summer was an emotional response to some unfortunate events instead of really looking at the landscape and making an educated decision after the hurt feelings subsided. There have been a few "flashes of brilliance" over the past decade, but it's hard to look into the near future and see much excitement.

Let's hope this 2023rd pick lands a gem, but they need so much more.
