My understanding is the Flames haven’t won more than 3 in a row all season. These next 4 games include opponents that are beatable and plenty of time in between games except for today and the Saturday matinee. The Flames must come out and play desperate hockey the next 4. I don’t think they should settle for anything less than 7 points, but if they really want to make the playoffs, they should be leaving it all on the ice for 8!

I believe it will be Markstrom tonight Vladar Saturday, I would be shocked if Vladar plays tonight.

Buffalo would be the stronger opponent

Sutter took more shots at the team yesterday saying Detroit has 3-4 star players and we have none.

Not sure how much more of these shots in the media the team will like.

Well, Huberdeau is the only star level player we have and he’s not playing like a star level player for us…so, Sutter isn’t wrong in being critical of the Flames.

…although I’d argue that Detroit really only has Seider.

Glad Vladar is starting. Flames need every advantage they can get, and this is one of them.

Great article on Daily Faceoff today about Markstrom and his season thus far. Nothing we didn't already know but worth a read.

When they are on I'd put Markstrom and Lindholm up there. Maybe Kadri. And IMO Tanev is a star at what he does. It's not an appreciated job.

Huberdeau is a legit star having a down year which might be attributed to Sutters system.

Last year he said the same thing, and now he refers to those players who left as a stars and elite players.

Not sure what he is going on about.

He did the same thing last year. It’s a motivating tactic.

I hope Weegar takes the opportunity and runs with it.

What scares me is anything less than 3-1 puts the Flames in a bad place. They need to start cashing in on some of these ‘easy’ games.

Can confirm our PP1 likely will NOT make it easy on him.

As much as I don’t always love Sutter’s attitude, he’s not wrong here. There are no real stars on this team.

Yup. With how quiet Lindholm and Huberdeau have been, it's completely intentional

Nothing to see here
