WOW what the actual ####. All the best to Andersson for a quick recovery. No more scooters for players.

Just read this on Twitter - sounds like it’s not serious but man that’s scary.

Those Wings will do anything to win.

I take it this was one of those Bird type scooters, and not like a Vespa.

Holy ****. Never heard of that happening before (an NHLer getting injured on a scooter, I've definitely seen average people getting injuries, including serious ones).

I think it's only fair that we get to hit one of Detroit's dmen with a car before the game today now.

Hopefully Andersson is doing well though and there is nothinh serious.

Aren't these scooters typically taken out of operation during the winter because of the obvious safety concerns in cold weather cities?

I've seen them around in Calgary this winter.

Dang. Hopefully he recovers quick.

I’ve seen many scooter idiots flying thru crosswalks at 30kph or whatever those things max out at. I’m surprised we don’t hear about more scooter vs vehicle incidents.

Having been to Detroit recently, there is very, very little infrastructure on streets for things like scooters or bikes to ride safely. You're riding in mixed traffic in the downtown, which seemed almost suicidal to try. Still very much the motor city.

I blame myself. I chose Ras for the Tim Hortons challenge today. Though he did have this accident last night. I blame the motorist then.

In all seriousness, very fortunate he wasn't injured and glad he'll be back soon!

That RB for San Jose State football was killed on one this past Fall. Clear sunny day right on campus and hit by a school bus. Through a crosswalk. It is so easy to relax and rip on those things you let your guard down.
