Interestingly, if you believe in the goals saved above expected, Markstrom has been better than Vladar. Markstrom is the 40th best NHL goaltender, and Vladar is the 67th best by that metric. Goaltending has generally been a big issue for the Flames.

Markstrom not the problem at all. If you really feel the need to look for goats this game, they have been plentiful.

If only the Flames could score goals for Markstrom...
Markstrom sucks and Sutter insisting he play no matter what just tells the team it's more about who Sutter likes than who is playing well. See Lucic getting moved up 2 lines after getting caved in all night.
