He really seems to love to praise ex-Flames. I wanted to puke when he was fawning over Adam Fox. Yeah, he is a good player, but I would like a little bit of a Flames bias sometimes on Flames broadcasts.

haven't read the thread, but had to comment on two things:
1) the longer that delay went, the more I knew the refs would find a way to #### the Flames - the Rangers getting a PP there was beyond belief
2) know doubt there was discussion about the goal against, and for anyone defending Markstrom there, confident goalies come out to challenge the shooter, but Markstrom was backing up again. The bottom line is that either Markstrom has been REALLY unlucky in that shooters keep make perfect shots, or, more likely, he is just giving up too much net.

Chicken ####s for not even touching that league review, like why even have an intermission panel if they aren’t going to challenge the league on questionable calls. Probably have a bet on the game lol, what a joke the league has become and it’s garbage like this that’s creating a 22 percent decrease in the viewership in the states.

Panel doesn't even mention the first penalty reversal in league history

Toronto made the change in calls. Shows everyone what the NHL is really about. Hope Tanev is all right. I was yelling at the TV, "No, no, no."

It’s tough to tell whether the hit was a true headshot from the angle they showed for the replay. The additional minor was the real head scratcher.

Is the rule not that they can bring it down to 2 mins but that they can’t erase the penalty entirely?
…they erased it.

Wow. Garbage reffing. They can't even keep track of the shots on goal properly. This league needs competition.

This is the dumbest intermission. Stupid trade suggestions that nobody is actually considering.

The panel would have spent the whole intermission talking about how terrible of a call that was if it was the Oilers it happened to.

Garbage reffing, but a very spirited and feisty period by the Flames. They were the better team and the league owes them an apology for the reffing so far.

Again, it's like he doesn't know who he's talking to when he's making these comments
The "Toronto always gets it right" comment also pokes at recent wounds for Flames fans given their terrible justification for reversing Blake's important goal
Is his awareness that poor? Or is his disdain for Sutter from his playing days that pervasive?
Maybe he needs to request a transfer up north if talking favorably of the home side is that hard for him

The only reason I could see for the review was to decide if it was a match penalty. I thought they were looking at getting him out of the game. I didn't even suspect they were looking at where was the initial contact before the hit to the head.

The TMO in rugby is very well done. Don't know how more sports and leagues don't just copy what they do in rugby. The reffing isn't always great, but it has been pretty good the last couple years.
