Need to seriously cut down the frequency of grade-A odd man chances against when Markstrom is in if we want to have any hope of winning a markstrom start again
Most teams are very efficient at converting on 2 on 1s ... maybe we shouldn't be giving them up early and often

That Backlund pass was a nothing play in the end (that line looks great as always though). The pass wasn’t on target, and Mangiapane was covered. Good play and all that, but dang Backs should have taken the puck and squared up for a chance himself.
This start is just…this season. Flames are playing hard, and controlling possession…and just a big ol nothing burger.

I'm glad all of CP is in game shape. You guys didn't miss a beat. I'm a slow starter though, so I'll take at least until the 2nd intermission before I take a dump on the team.
