Impressed with Gilbert. Style actually reminds me a bit of Zadorov funny enough. Keep him playing over Mackey if Tanev is out. I actually might play him over Stone bless his heart.
I hope during this break all these guys decide they want it and to put in the work and effort that will require for 60 minutes every game. Take this win as a positive building block and go full guns after the break. Full effort, every game.

True, although Vladar was always considered a really good goaltending prospect. He was the 4th out of 24 goalies drafted in 2015. If he ends up being a good goalie, it shouldn't be a shock. Rittich was a little older and came out of nowhere. Definitely should have been cautious about expectations with him.
There are a few goalies from the 2015 draft that are now starting to blossom at the same time. Besides Vladar, there is Hill, Montembeault, Vejmelka, Samsonov, and Blackwood.

Missed the game but the highlights make it look like Lindholm and Coleman had great games. That is a huge win. It's crazy but the division may still be in reach.

Nah, it all fell apart when he was the 4th or 5th choice for the All Star game because all other goalies in the division skipped out. The a week later he showboats on the shootout win vs the Oilers.
From that point on he was letting in bad goals and pulled multiple times that season…his last Flames game should’ve been when he was totally unprepared in Dallas game 6 in the Covid playoffs and let in 3 goals on 5 shots.
But brought back another year for some reason. Last year the eventful Nashville game where he comes in with a few minutes left, makes one save but let’s in 3 Flames goals, 2 in regulation and one in OT.
Good for Vladar…he seems to let goals in high more often the pun he should, but plays like most backups, with less pressure (self inflicted and from the team and media) than the top goaltender. As mention, things flip when you’re the man (or think you are).

I agree, Best thing would to have Vladar play most of the games from here to the end of the season. Marky could use some time watching games from the bench.

Remember when that Vancouver team started to have locker room issues. Someone said that the team doesn't like Markstrom. Maybe Vancouver misses a real team guy?
