Because this isn’t a video game and Markstrom isn’t just going to RETIRE without an injury to help out your cap situation

I miss watching a flames game and having “fun.” Always wanting more with this group and they drop the ball when presented with good opportunities. Only game in recent memory I enjoyed was against Columbus. That was more excited for the return of Johnny rather than the game itself.

Fleury had one year left, literally after winning the Vezina, and his trade value was zero because the cap was so high

“Markstrom gets no run support” group would tell you he would get lots of that in Toronto and be just fine…. Or we can look at it both ways around here.

Your being purposely obtuse so theres no point to go back and forth with you on it any longer.

Did not disregard the middle part at all. You cannot paint every big save with the same brush obviously, so I'm not putting a lot of weight into what some unknown goalie coaches are saying. Tough to comment on with no citation.

I am looking forward to you bringing up the same point in a GT when Vladar makes some huge saves. To be fair and all.

Honestly it feels like a change of scenery could do him a lot of good

Might actually be the thing needed to get him playing near elite again, given that his Calgary issues appear to be entirely mental

The only Markstrom trade I think is realistic is to LA for Peterson who they buried, if the teams prefer the other players contract structure.
 Or something similar.

Strange to see Markstrom struggling so much this season in a Sutter defence first philosophy.

Thinking both Marky and the team have come to this realization.

Said it a while back.

Damn shame. He’s a great person.

Or they can just keep their very capable goalie and not make a terrible trade. That makes more sense.
