Flames look to avoid letdown vs. West-worst Blackhawks
The way the Calgary Flames see it, they've turned a corner and are looking like the team they were supposed to be.
Calgary's home clash with the cellar-dwelling Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday is an opportunity to prove it.
The Flames, who have won two straight games, have often been guilty of looking past underdog clubs, and a Blackhawks team at the bottom of the Western Conference is the kind of team they could be caught looking past.
Calgary in action against Chicago after overtime victory

Taking a while to get to 5000
|
I think this will be a start for Markstrom and a chance at redemption given the last time he played Chicago. Vladar can start in Seattle after travel.

I would agree this would be a better game for Markstrom, and you can give Vladar the Seattle game.
That said, I posted this in the PGT from Monday:

This should be as close to a guaranteed 2 points as possible and we all know what that means.

Also with the Blue Jackets win over the Oilers the Hawks are the last place team in the league.
When was the last time we played the worst team in league in back to back games? I'm guessing never.

You have to start Markstrom in one of the games or he will be sitting for way too long and probably have his confidence crushed even more.
