Did you expect any different considering that poster’s history?
Wait and see what comes next. Bo will be home from school soon and if nap time wasn’t good for them today
Bo will be cranky

Lol.
They had the nerve to take the name Bo Levi a guy who named his daughter EVE(everybody loves everybody).
Looks like they want to be the polar opposite.

Well
We have a pretty good idea of the age range (very narrow starting with 5)
The address most likely has a stench problem
And
The odds are good that the first name is something like xxxxy Bob

I respect OK’s right to privacy but geez would it be nice to have some indication whether he’ll be back. Even in the form of bumping Stone out of the top 6 with an acquisition while staying mum on OK. Gotta assume and hope Tre is on it.

Im guessing they just dont know at this point.
However the Tanev injury may have just provided the pinch point in that decision having to be made.

OK probably doesn’t know at this point either, or he would have pulled the plug on the season.

Why shouldn't he?
If the Flames need to replace him, they can LTIR him.
If they don't need to replace him, they don't need, not should they get, a free pass and accrue cap space.
And we don't know why Kylington is taking time off. If, for example, he's having "stress problems", that clearly falls within a medical condition and in my mind is no different that him getting cancer or breaking his leg.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Tre likes to do his shopping early, even if he doesn't necessarily get it done early. Last year may have been the exception. But he'll want to know what he has to spend. The Flames / Kylington have to be close on a decision. Not that much time left.

Would be nice to get a depth defensman and a triggerman for Huberdeau.

We don't know what the issue is.
In the past when players have needed to take a leave for personal matters, teams have suspended them and had them not count against the cap. For reasons we don't know, the Flames decided that they didn't want Kylington to face a financial hardship and that the team would carry the cap hit. Without knowing what the actual issue is, we don't know if the Flames had to handle it that way, or whether they are taking on the burden out of sympathy instead of suspending him.
If it turns out to be the latter and Kylington is unavailable for the whole season, I don't think it would be unreasonable to get retroactive cap relief. A team shouldn't be burdened for taking a human approach toward one of their players instead of doing the cold thing.
Of course it really depends on what the exact issues are. For example, if it is a health issue for him, that is different than if it was a family member. In the latter case, the Flames would have been within their right to suspend him and accrue the cap space. It wouldn't have been a nice thing to do and I would be glad that they didn't, but it would also seem unfair to make the team carry the cap just because they did the morally right thing.

I agree with the defenseman especially with the unknown of Kyllington.
For Huberdeau, I haven't really watched him and said oh what a great pass if we only had a trigger man for him. To me it seems like maybe in Florida he played very high risk with his puck management and could make some high risk passes that worked out great. Obviously a different mandate in terms of puck possession and high risk plays with Calgary. I think he tends to over think it a bit and that leads to playing slow, this is likely because he cares and wants to make it work. Also why do you have your "best passer" in front of the net on the PP, don't really get that one.
For him I think he needs someone that can drive the net and someone that is going to draw attention to give Huberdeau time to let the play develop. I think Kadri fits the first second part, and Lucic tries to fit the first part but doesn't know how to separate himself from the opposing player. so leaving only on option which is Kadri. As I type this maybe this is the definition of a trigger man and if yes I agree one hundred percent. Sorry for the read that lead no where!!

I'm actually impressed that the Flames, as an entire organization, have done such a great job of keeping this under wraps, presumably at OK's request.
There are probably a fair number of people within the organization that know the details of what's really going on and, as far as I know, there hasn't been a sniff of a "leak" to anyone.
That is pretty impressive in this day and age and I think is a small indicator of how the organization looks after its own.

It's actually a small miracle this day in age. A lot of kudos goes to the members of the media who likely have insight and are not sharing. In most markets, someone would have already wanted to be the first to break something.

There are likely members of Calgarypuck as well, who probably know about this, but have kept silent out of respect. Kudos their way as well.
