That might be the greatest net cord I've ever seen to win a match. What a comeback by Andrey in the super breaker!

It was definitely not a high quality match, but it certainly got exciting at the end. Rune getting broken to love serving for the match followed by blowing leads of 5-0 and 7-2 in the super breaker is a tough pill to swallow.

Also, Ben Shelton just beat JJ Wolf 6-2 in the 5th set. What a tourney he's having.

I didn't think Paul would beat BA who has been playing well lately. Fantastic results for US tennis.

Yeah, it's too bad that Shelton and Paul face each other in the quarter-finals, I give the edge to Paul in that match, Shelton has the power advantage, but Paul is just rock solid in the consistency department.

The last guy to beat Djokovic in Australia was Hyeon Chung back in 2018. Unfortunately, some terrible injuries have derailed his career although he recent made an appearance playing doubles with countryman Soonwoo Kwon at a tourney in Seoul late in 2022.

Good on them for taking what has been given to them, but I don't recall a half of a draw ever opening up so wide for a group of middling to lower ranked players to advance to the latter stages of an event in many many years.

My friend’s sister is in Australia right now on vacation. They got tickets to some matches while there. They were walking in Melbourne and just happened to see Shapo walking down the street and asked for a selfie, which he obliged.
Currently they are at the Ostapenko/Rybakina match.

Looks like Korda might has a right wrist issue.

Tsitsipas totally handled Lehecka. Probably an indication of how Felix would have fared.

Big win for Victoria Azarenka last night over Jessica Pegula 6-4 6-1. I did not see that coming with how Pegula was stream-rolling her opposition.
