Well Prescott had to throw it becuase he Elliott was getting steamrolled back into him.

Reminds me of the Colts formation years back.

I thought McCarthy would be safe after winning last week but after this week? Not sure. Either he goes or Dak goes.

Like thinking your washed RB can sufficiently block a DL to set up whatever that was gonna be...man I almost feel sympathy for Cowboys fans.

Has that formation ever worked? Ever?

Even in practice?

Payton was wearing a blue suit and tie on Fox today. Jones may hire him on air here post game, or at very least he won't have to change when he would get flown there tonight and introduced tomorrow.

Saints should be asking for four firsts for Payton after this. But I still don't see how he salvages Dak, he is basically his own tier now, the Dak tier, which is a tier below the Cousins tier. And they can't move Dak, $89 million in dead cap and a no trade clause.

color me shocked that Dak " i put up big points against weak teams" Prescott didnt get it done. Zeke getting steamrolled was alos pretty cool to see. The Toronto Maple Leafs of the NFL lose again. Dak was outplayed by Mr. Irrelevant.

That last play is an appropriate way to end McCarthy's time in Dallas. God damn that was weak.

Love the idea of it, & Jones and Payton are good friends. The only thing I wonder is if they could get along in that capacity as they're both control freaks.

The amount of stories coming out about Payton's power within the Saints since he left is pretty bonkers. Almost sounds like the GM essentially worked for him. I'm skeptical him and Jerruh could operate like that together for more than a couple years.

I’d love to have seen what they thought that dumbass formation would actually accomplish if everything worked perfectly. Zeke is a good pass blocker but he certainly isn’t a centre.

The only thing it really could have accomplished was to force the opponents to taking a timeout that they didn’t want to take. Then the Cowboys could go to a normal formation.

As a Cowboys (and Flames/Blue Jays) fan, I have so much emotional scar damage that nothing really gets to me any more. Some consolation is that the Cowboys won’t get their asses handed to them by the Eagles now.

Based on this weekend you'd think Philly would roll either of these teams But maybe the Giants were just that bad.

I would guess everyone in this thread is expecting a Bengals and Eagles Superbowl. That's where I'd lean right now. I don't think my Chiefs have much of a shot with a gimped Mahomes. The Bengals and Eagles were by far the two bedt teams this week.

Burrow wearing Seinfeld sweatpants in the locker room. He's the bestest.

Cincy definitely looks head and shoulders better than the other three teams. The Niners certainly didn’t look like an offensive juggernaut today - they relied on a touchdown aided by Cowboys penalties and a fluky (yet cool) catch.

If Mahomes was healthy, KC certainly would be really tough competition. With Mahomes playing on one leg, I don’t see them as a real threat to the Bengals.

Let's not forget that CIN probably didn't deserve to win last week, and Burrows looked really ordinary. Need to be careful expecting next week what we see this week.
That said, I see a Bengals/49ers final.

For a really long time this was Stafford's reputation too.

No Stafford played on the Lions and never played a meaningful game . He had no reputation other then “haha QB for the Lions”

It does seem that the formula of QB on rookie contract and beef up on the offensive and defensive lines matters at this time of year. Eagles and 49'ers definitely are strong on both lines and the Bengals have invested a lot in theirs too. Even the Chiefs have a Defensive line who can get after the QB.

If Mahomes was healthy I would feel okay about their chances. All three losses have been by a firld goal. But it's going to take a hell of a game plan and something big from their defence to be in this game. Too bad a healthy Mahomes would have made this a great game for fans.

Eagles and 49'ers should be a good one. The Eagles D Line flies under the radar but they have outstanding depth there. They really do match up with San Fran well everywhere and have the edge at QB.
