You're very right, Lucic had a great game and Vladar did what he does.
Someone else who had a pretty solid game was Noah Hanifin, I noticed him on a few plays where he made excellent reads. I thought he had a particularly strong performance today.

He really said it best when he said he would like to get Pellts in....but they are neither 10 up or 10 out. His job, what hes paid for is to get wins, and if he (lets be honest 3 time cup coach) doesn't think right now is the time to play a young guy then I would side with him over what 60% of this board and media seem to want.

Agree with part of what you are saying but Coronato could be an NHL'er as soon as this year's playoffs. Not likely with this coach but with many others it's possible.

Nuff said.

Vladar makes the saves he needs to, even if it means he allows 3 or 4, he doesn't give up that back breaker in regulation
the team inherently knows it so they play with the confidence needed to get it done
I love Vladar, he should be this team's 1A

Pelletier is an NHLer, but that doesnt mean it is gping to happen all at once. I trust Sutter's judgement.

this is probably also why Pelletier's ice time was reduced in the final 40
with a game that close and crucial points on the line, can't afford to be burnt by inexperience

Is the narrative that the Flames/Sutter are unreasonably unfair in promoting young players from the system compared to other teams? How do Bruins or even Penguins handle their prospects?
5 players from the Wranglers have played this season, and the Flames roster has been relatively healthy. It's because of that it may seem the young players haven't been getting as much of a chance as anticipated by some, because scratching a known entity that you know is playing well enough while the team is staying within the playoff race isn't practical for an inexperienced player that likely won't outplay them yet.
How are other teams at promoting there young players mid season? Is the team heavy on the veteran side? Did injuries factor in? We're these teams in playoff spots? If a player like Coronato is gonna be ponding bailing on the team (which I have no reason to believe up to this point), these are questions they have to ask to have context. Because they could run into the game issue with other clubs.
The only ones that are guaranteed to give a prospect with potential a guaranteed spot on their roster are most likely lottery pick teams.

Where is “this post is terrible” to thank about 100 posts in this thread.
If you can’t tell that Daryl Sutter is joking… that’s on you. Not Daryl Sutter.
Leads off by asking what number is he? Reads off his stats? He’s clearly trolling the stupid media questions. Obviously you can’t read A SINGLE THING from that conversation about what Daryl thinks of Pelletier.
But most of all, Daryl is a master of taking the focus of the media, so the media doesn’t have to be hard on the team.

Do all these people who work in the profession think he's joking? Posters deserve to be ridiculed as terrible?

Yes. I do think a prospect who can sign with the Flames, and who may be looking to sign with the Flames, as soon as 3 months from now is watching what is going on with the team that drafted him.
Specifically in regards to if it will be possible to sign and burn a year off your ELC and actually play NHL games.
If hes not paying attention personally his representation is for sure. Elliott Friedman made a comment about how the Flames handle their prospects last week, look at all the NHL media covering this press conference tonight. It be would be pretty ignorant to think somehow Coronato and his representation are oblivious to all this.
