I don't think he's very good at his job and I've always felt he comes off as kind of dim.
Decrying First Nations' representation over the Prince Albert Raiders throwback jersey was an early hint that he really doesn't know what he's talking about.
Are we talking about the Raiders throwback jersey that was pulled after one day and that the WHL called "insensitive and offensive"?
This was Tuesday. Starting at about 3:00, he talks about Pelletier for a solid two and a half minutes...
It was a good interview, and he was generally positive.
But even then if you're Coronato and you're watching that you are a bit concerned that he says Pelletier's size is a barrier to him playing, and that he cant get in the lineup since we aren't 10 points up or 10 points out.
So still not the most glowing outcome in terms of giving younger, undersized players a shot.
Sutter confirmed himself those are barriers to get into his lineup.
How many did Sutter play in the NHL? around 400-450? how about play and coach? 1900? Is that enough. Because the whole discussion started from a bunch of media who never played a game taking an issue...
I honestly don't care if he knows Pelletier's number. Maybe he decided that he will soon make a transition to a big boy number(not in the 40's and 60's), or that he won't be here for long this year.
I wish after a Flames win, the PGT can have discussion on how the team played and how the team stick it to TB. How Weager goaded stupid TB take 2 penalties on the same play and gave the Flames 2 minutes 5 on 3. I don't even mind saying how bad the PP1 was on that 5 on 3. Golly, any discussion on the game beside bickering on and on about what Sutter said.

These "hurdles" would apply on more nhl teams than not
also pretty sure cotonato is bigger than Pelletier already

You think a draft pick playing NCAA across the country is watching random press conferences by a coach of a team he may be years away playing full time on? In normal times we’d go through 3 coaches in that timespan.
You’re really trying too hard with this young players are planning their career moves over what Sutter says in a pregame or postgame interview with the media.

That Tuesday presser is proof that today's comments are being blown waaaaay out of proportion by some folks. He was obviously just being his usual curmudgeon self when dealing with the media. Nothing to see here IMO.

Coronato not only watches them he posts on here and reads all about how Sutter is a big meanie who absolutely hates right shot goal scorers and will purposely tank his career.
