Sutter HAS to let Vladar start a few games in a row, especially when there are two games coming against "lesser" opponents. Those games are crucial to get 4 points out of.
Anyways, Pelletier looked awesome! I love his skating, so smooth. You can tell he has a great IQ, he would be a dream on the 2nd with Naz and Huby.
Duehr with a nice bounce back game after two very meh games (though the whole team was very meh in the last two).

My gut was right once again, great win

#### you Kucherov and Perry.

This is just unacceptable behaviour by a head coach.

Great win but what about the kicked in goal... are the Flames just gonna let that slide? Nashville would have been at least a point and don't get me started on the playoffs.

Is Francis new to this? That's Sutter's thing. Never too high after a win, never too low after a loss.

I honestly don't see what is wrong with that....what is wrong with pushing a young guy to keep working and keep improving

I was watching he just picked up the paper and asked what # he is and read off stats and said he's 21.

Can't even bring himself to say he had a good game.

Darryl has a hard time being a good person.

Exactly, the last thing we need is the Flames feeling comfortable because they beat Tampa and CBJ is coming in

If I were a young player my takeaway to that would be "#### this." Great way to alienate your fans, too. He had a good game.

The coach is just an ass.

Yeah, I don't care what Darryl has said in the past. That's not what you say after a 21 year old kid just played his first NHL game.

When your boss is constantly miserable and taking shots at you, it creates a pretty toxic environment, which pretty much aligns with how a lot of people have described the locker room this season.

People can put on the blinders and defend this but I don't care. Absolutely embarrassing and unacceptable.

These are the types of games a team can build off of. Hope they keep it going and dont take their foot off the gas.

It's hardly a shot...he is a young player with a ways to go, he should want to improve every game.

This is the NHL the coach isn't a cheerleader

If the coach thinks he played well he will get to play Monday...the coach isn't gonna waive pom poms in the media just because they are fishing for a story

You and others took the sensationalism bait by Francis.

There's nothing wrong with what Sutter said.

EDIT: Although the player number antic is silly. But that's standard Sutter-ism with the media.

it all depends on what he said to the player in private

So stupid. Second time publically being so disrespectful of a prospect for no reason this season. First Phillips. Now Pelletier.

People say "you're not being objective" when I say I wouldnt sign here if I was Coronato...but really i'm being 100% fair to the situation.

Look how Sutter talks about prospects publically.
Look how Sutter plays the prospects.

If I'm a young player that has the choice to choose what organization I can play for then Im not choosing an organization where Sutter is coach thats for sure.

And to me it makes no sense to do this. I dont think its a coincidence that Lucic's best games have been when Phillips was called up and then Pelletier. Sutter complained earlier this year that there was too much complacancy by the veterans...refusing to play youngsters leads to that. They know you're not replacing them with Matthew Phillips, Jakub Peletier, or even Adam Ruzicka... so why not be complaciant.

Honestly his attitude to all the players in this organization is getting so old. Im actually starting to wonder if politics are involved at this point. He has a contract. Trelviing doesnt. What better way to angle for the GM job than to say all the players the current GM brought in or drafted are not good.

The key to knowing that’s a troll by Sutter is “what’s his number”. LOL.

What matters is what Sutter tells Pelletier in the room and in the office.

I'll say it again. The media in this town have pretty much unanimously called the Flames locker room a dark place right now. I'm not saying players and coaches should be happy with the record they have attained to this point, but these are human beings. You just can't act like this.

This team needs more positivity from the people in charge, not less. We should be looking at pumping up their tires, not deflating them.

Lol, some of you are taking this way too seriously. Pelletier had a good game. The coach knows he had a good game. I'm betting that what was said privately between coach and player was a lot different and constructive than what Sutter said to the media. Like I said, not getting too high after a win is his style. He doesn't want any of his players getting an inflated head just because they beat Tampa. The team in general has a long way to go.
